Are we keeping score? #7 WR room. #6 RB room. #8 OL room. And Cam Ward.

Again, it’s PFF. And again, it’s only one publication. Anyone can make a list. They also say Samson is the starting LG, which certainly isn’t public or set in stone. Nor do they mention Cooper, who we all feel is an NFL player someday.

But again, just more evidence, Mario and Dawson, you’re not allowed to suck this year, homeboys. You got more talent than you need to win 10 games.

And truthfully, if you really look at this, let’s say these lists are 100% accurate at the end of the season. If you have Cam Ward, the #6 backfield, the #7 WRs, and the #8 OL, why should you only win 10 games? Shouldn’t you legitimately compete for a national championship? At least offensively?

UF at 10 surprises me. FSU makes sense imo, they’ve done a decent job identifying talent there.

Part of UF’s ranking is Zandamela imo, otherwise I can’t see why anyone would think that room is top 10 nationally.

Florida’s offensive line was dominant in the run game last season. The Gators’ front five earned an 82.2 run-blocking grade, fourth among Power Five offensive lines.

Florida returns three starters from that line, with its star coming from the middle. Jake Slaughter is my No. 8 returning interior offensive lineman in college football after posting an 81.2 overall grade, second among Power Five centers.

UFag has major holes in their OL. It's a huge discussion leading into their game with us knowing how strong our DL is.

Agreed on the rushing attack, Napier is fun to clown but he usually schemes up some very complex and explosive running plays.

But their pass blocking was atrocious last year, and they finished tied for 106th in tackles for loss allowed per game, nearly 7 a game. That to me in itself isn’t good enough for a top 10 OL. I’d slot them closer to that 15-20 range.

ND should be in there the way they produce OL imo.

I remember this time last year everyone was concerned with Rivers and what we were gonna do about LT

Didn’t even hear the guys name all year and FSU had to move Verse away from him so he could try and make an impact

Not too concerned with the question marks the coaching and development here is top tier

UF was horrible last year via several metrics. D$ covered this in an earlier pod comparing our offense to theirs. While all the crappy OL are back, they are losing a first rounder at WR and a game breaker at RB.

How in the heck are teams like K-State and Ok State NOT on this list? I think Ok State returns all five after a dominant year as a run blocking unit.

I have mentioned before there is levels that our OLine need to reach.. we hype guys up then they go undrafted.. we did ALOT of max protect.. if these guys are legit we need more than 3 man routes to help our QB..

when Mario came he spoke highly of TVD and left him a broken man that gets all the blame but 3 man routes against drop 8 is NASTY WORK.. we had no solution it seems Dawson and Mario need to do better.. rivers is the man, let him cook against a 3 man rush he shouldnt need RB and te to stay in..

I want these guys to prove it

MiamI having a legitimate top 10 OL in the country is extremely good news and big reason Miami will be in the contending for title talk all year IMO. It's been a long time since we had an OL this talented and deep. Maybe over 20 years.

Until proven on the field this is by far a weaker line than last year. I could care less about PFF rankings.
Are you kidding? We brought back our three best Lineman from last season. As an official upperclassman now, Cooper is becoming a leader of that room and will likely cement himself as a 1st or 2nd pick. Mauigoa is one year older and will be even better than he already is. Rivers just came off his best camp of his college career. Those three alone bring up the line up another notch from last season. Ik people may be a little nervous about guard, but whoever starts there definitely has a much higher ceiling than Cohen. Bell, Kinsler, McCoy and Samson could all potentially see the starting lineup this season, which is a big part of the reason why we are on this list. Then you got Carpenter, who at worst I think will have a season similar to Lee.

With all this filthiness by position, I must admit that the talent on the roster has improved and so has the expectations

Everything you said is spot on. I thought the OL last year was good but there were two interesting things about it that should be drastically different this year:

1. Cam instead of TVD. QBs can really make an OL look good and vice versa

2. Martinez. As was noted the OL was tremendous last year at giving RBs space but none of them were very good at creating

The roster is finalized and we’ve had a spring and now a summer to get these guys figured out and I like their chances

So we had to max protect for a three man rush? We needed seven guys to block three? Ok.

I'll give you that we hyped them up and then they weren't drafted (although that's only half correct), but let's not stretch this like a heated up girlfriend or wife trying to win an argument.

I'm not the guy to click thru tape and break down plays as I don't try to memorize 7n5 seasons like I used to but it happened more than it should..

Yeah that’s how I took it. Our line was good but the A&M game was a good example. We were obviously worried about their front 4 and not their secondary and we exploited it perfectly
