OT - UNC has hired Belichick

I'm curious as to why this strikes fear into anyone.
For me it's because he's the best football coach of his generation.

If UNC accepts his terms he's going to have a bundle to spend on NiL and staff. Concerns about a longtime NFL coach having to relate to and manage high school recruits are less important in the age of NiL.

He's a great coach; feel like the baseline assumption should be he'd be successful at UNC.

As long he doesn't hire Matt Patricia to be his OC.

He'll be 73 years old by the start of next season. He's never coached in the college game in any position. I think it's a weird idea and hire.

yea he wont recruit you already know it you can tell
Honestly he doesn't have too... I mean if it's a major 5 star I'm sure he'll do an in house... Maybe... But the key is have his guys get the players on campus and Bill does his thing from there...
People can hate on Bill all they want but his accomplishments carry major weight... Does that guarantee success???. Of course not but many a needle will be moved...

Career record including Cleveland without Tom Brady under center 83-101

Yea...6 Superbowl rings won't entice anyone... Gotcha.
Not saying that I just have my doubts he gets the roster he thinks he will. And are unc boosters willing to help football more than basketball? That’s really the multimillion dollar question. I’m assuming same donors give to both programs. It’s not the grand slam you assume it is

Never said grand slam... He brings a lot to the table is all

Edit : To the point of Tom Brady... Bill was part of the team that picked him and made the choice to play him as well... Having an eye for talent is a good thing for a Coach...Especially when it turns into the best QB ever...
If I remember correctly he also was part of picking someone else and developing him... Guy named Lawrence Taylor... Arguably the greatest defensive player ever... Dude single handily changed the way defense was played and Coached against...
With that said I think that's a **** of a thing to talk to a high school kid about as far as what can be potentially done with that player....
