OT: UGA vs. SC

Then we can’t they score lol?

Lol. I am just saying I heard all off season about this unbelievable Muschamp Defense and they are getting pushed around gave up 13 points in the first half. Plus they got to basically skip an entire offensive possession with the fumble return. They got the big sack and the big pick which saved them some points. But it was highly overrated all offseason imo.

Oh I 1000% agree. He gave up some some stuff early on some come back routes. He isn’t playing bad. The sole fact that he is out there playing major minutes should tell you enough. Don’t tell that to me, tell that to several posters in this thread who are labeling him as no good and “getting roasted”. That’s all I’ll say on him.
It just sucks we didn’t get him that’s all think it’s still bitter with a lot of people here including me
But I liked our haul and want to see blades Frierson, hall and Ivey play and ease into serious pt because what we have right now is not the answer in Redwine dean and knowles

I feel like some coaches just say "you'll be a starter" to alot of these five stars and they commit. Whereas more honest coaches would say you have to battle it out like everyone else and go from there.

**** I don't mind saying you'll start to a 5 star recruit, sure first year may be growing pains but if he's a true 5 star stud then it's worth it for this soph and jr year (leaving SR year). Better than our guy balling for one year his Jr then declare for draft early.

Didn’t they only lose by 7 to Cal?
Just had to double check yes they did must’ve turned it off after the 3rd ... that score wasn’t very telling of the game though because they were straight getting abused ... and they’re currently trailing a bad ecu team

Fair enough. My point is that it has been years since we blew out bad ACC teams. It just doesn’t happen normally, especially last year when we played a severely depleted UNC team who was playing their entire second string.

No I know I say all this now and I’m positive we will play down to their level when we play them

I really don’t understand the targeting rule. The subjectivity involved on when it’s called and when it’s not is baffling.
I hate the targeting rule.

To me it should be a flagrant attempt to lead with the crown of the helmet and, therefore, injure someone.

That doesn't happen very often - like Bandy. That was a ridiculous ejection.

How many of you predicted an SC upset long ago? It's still real early, but Smart just keeps proving the doubters wrong here. What's funny is I think so many have tried to downplay him in order to try and prop Richt up. Whatever, don't really care, but they look pretty good albeit young.

I think at this point it'd be wise for my fellow Cane fans to stop keeping up with uga. Smart seems to be pulling a Usain Bolt on Richt.

When you have double the amount of salary to hire assistants(which allows you to hire one of the best OL coaches for almost a million per), and fully activating boosters to bring you the best talent, it’s a good combination to be really good.

Richt’s first 30 games at UGA:
24-6

Smarts first 30 games at UGA:
23-7

I didn't see this game yesterday - just caught some clips in recaps. One thing that was noted by the tv guys was the difference in size of UGA offensive and defensive line compared to SC. Georgia's guys outweigh SC by like 25-30 pounds per guy. The assessment was that UGA lines just wore down SC and that allowed them to make plays. All goes back to the trenches

Richts first 3 recruiting classes were trash compared to Kirbys. Just watch the next 30 games. He is going to blow Richt out of the water.
