Let’s give UGA another 1-2 year’s and see how their doing relative to national championships, or SEC titles, or bowl victories. I think it’s vastly over looked how setup Smart was to start off his tenure there than what Richt had at the start of his tenure here. Still, you have to develop and coach said talent but when you’re dealing with much better talent to begin with I’d like to think that they’ll develop at a faster clip than 2* and low 3* players.
The onus is on Richt to continue to bring in as much top talent as he and his staff can bring in, and coach them. What we all saw versus LSU didn’t look the part. What we saw against a smaller school this past Saturday was better but should have been so. This Saturday up in Toledo should tell us if the team is starting to get it and gel, or if this is going to be a season of lumps. If it’s the former, all goals are still obtainable, especially if LSU keeps winning. If it’s the latter, we might as well play as many freshmen as possible to get them valuable playing time for next year.
