OT: James Coley demoted

It COULD HAVE been a good play because the WR was open behind the defense.

But then you factor in the fact that you’re asking a RB who grew up in Miami to make his first throw with the game on the line when it’s SNOWING...and well, it doesn’t have the greatest odds is succeeding.

People like this guy are why there are so many terrible coaches that know the game.

It’s a mindset that can make an analytics and “execution” focused approach lead to terrible loses. They view players as machines and every play as an independent slice of the game that occurs in a vacuum. If you just “execute”, any play can work at any time.

This is complete nonsense, though. Players are PEOPLE and SITUATIONAL factors have as much of an effect on the outcome of the play as “execution”. Time, weather, momentum, experience, score, etc can make a play a bad play even when the “stats” say it will be a good play.

Most people can’t intellectually manage all the moving parts and repeatedly fail even though they are doing it by the book. The idea of “feel” having any affect on the game is a bunch of hocus locus in their minds.

The Browns offense was pure shìt under Monken as OC...

If people think this is gonna be anything like Joe Brady to LSU you're sadly mistaken.

He's a RPO Bro Multiple set offense, UGA still isn't going full spread & with Jamie Newman at QB they need a Spread Option offense. They'll be exactly what they are every year, more talented than SEC East, but still lose in the SEC title game.

The RPO **** is getting so stale, too, at all levels really.

Good move.

Coley isn’t an X and O guru. He’s a complimentary piece on a quality staff. Nothing wrong with that. But he’s not a high level OC.

live in Atl. new duties unspecified . new title , more money. Kirby knows this guy is a killer in recruiting especially in S.Fla
with 10 players on roster...... see Coley's recent work signing 2 portal players TE McKittrick from Fla.
average OC, A+ recruiter

At least they ain't looking to some moderately experienced lower level guy. The objective of any organization, that is hiring for any position, is to hire the most successful and experienced guy available. Canes don't follow this process and the results continue show they are idiots.
Lashlee was a good hire
