I'm a fan of this. Focus on the team and the final stretch. I am sure it was conveyed to the recruits and they should actually respect that and look good to them. Focus on finishing and lock in

wasn't planning on getting into anything I just said what I said and Im past it. Just clarifying the obvious. if has paid any attention to my sons story he would know why he is waiting.

I'll defend everyone and say it's passion but I understand man. Best of luck to your son wherever he goes. I hope it's Miami and I applaud you for letting him decide on his own. I have and will always hate the Internet. Our fans hurt us more than they help.

This morning, LB recruit Kellen Wiley (Seffner) announced he is not visiting Miami this weekend.



I’m told this is NOT a drop situation. The staff really likes Kellen Wiley.

Miami has decided to move this weekend’s visitors (including Mykah Newton and Malachi Toney) to after signing day.

There are a couple reasons for this. First, these players have playoff games for their high school teams tomorrow. So it would have been a shortened, lower-quality visit.

Second, and most importantly, the team is in lockdown mode as it pushes towards its goal of an ACC Championship. There are usually a lot of recruits in the building on Sunday unofficials. That’s not happening this week. Everyone is completely locked in on getting ready for the home stretch.

Recruiting will continue, obviously, and remains paramount. But the decision was made to avoid visits during such a key time for the program.

The unfortunate part with Wiley is that, unlike Newton and Toney, he isn’t a commit. So the timing is off. But again, this decision applies to every recruit set to visit and is being made for the sole purpose of winning on Saturday, winning next week, and accomplishing the team’s goals for the season.

Think he goes somewhere else. One would think if he wanted in he would be.

A coach who was hired to recruit, to actually recruit and not use “needing to focus on winning” as an excuse to push back visits. As I said Mario can’t draw up any play except inside zone. And he cant draw up a single defensive play. So what’s he focusing on? He spending all week writing his ra ra go team pregame speech?

Yea but there is an actual explanation that’s all that matters. Why can’t you just take his explanation as fact? Just have the recruits dad here watching, and you saying all this and make it look like our HC is cappin, great way to help out the effort.

If people say he’s a relentless recruiter let him recruit. What if he was thinking about this and changed his mind late? Maybe he’s like I should push this back cause Texas is coming hard and I have to go all out for this player cause I really want him.

When people say someone’s a trash recruiter (Manny) why can’t we trust that? We did, a lot of us. And we were right, just let the man cook. If he fails it’s not cause of this he just simple got beat out. He might have changed his mind, people change their minds or reevaluate their plans cause circumstances can change.
