I was pushing for lane Kiffin because everywhere he’s been he’s had a good offense, and I do admit that I never wanted Mario because I believe he offers nothing on the sidelines regarding Xs and Os - giving helpful input to his coordinators

If Mario has been a former defensive coordinator, do you honestly believe he would just sit idle on the sidelines and not jump in with an in-game adjustment against Georgia Tech?

As a Maude, when parents of recruits and players show up here, it’s always a matter of time before the other shoe drops.

It’s pretty incredible, and not in a good way, the things some posters will say to the parents of kids whom we’re recruiting as priorities.

One of ‘em got tossed in purgatory for being a jackass. Maudes let it go thus far in here otherwise but really each of them should be purgatoried or thread banned. It’s like they’re trying to hurt UM.

People doing this are either fans of other teams, trolls, selfish canes fans who put themselves first without regards to the good of the team or so stupid and low IQ that they should have their posting abilities removed.

Amen. If someone cannot be respectful to the family members of student athletes, please please ban them. Internet BS is out of hand, but when a grown man or woman shows up in here with a CHILD who is being actively recruited by our team, be an adult and STFU with dumb comments please.

And F-off with the 'well it's the truth' mindset. Every d1psh1t who says that has at one point in life had a clear truth to speak in front of another human being and kept their f*cking mouths shut. Because that's what mature adults do.

Your boss may be an a-hole, but all you are for saying it to him is an idiot. The thug in front of you in the fast food line may be a twit, but getting beat up in a McDonald's aint the look. And so on.

Miami has decided to move this weekend’s visitors (including Mykah Newton and Malachi Toney) to after signing day.

There are a couple reasons for this. First, these players have playoff games for their high school teams tomorrow. So it would have been a shortened, lower-quality visit.

Second, and most importantly, the team is in lockdown mode as it pushes towards its goal of an ACC Championship. There are usually a lot of recruits in the building on Sunday unofficials. That’s not happening this week. Everyone is completely locked in on getting ready for the home stretch.

Recruiting will continue, obviously, and remains paramount. But the decision was made to avoid visits during such a key time for the program.

The unfortunate part with Wiley is that, unlike Newton and Toney, he isn’t a commit. So the timing is off. But again, this decision applies to every recruit set to visit and is being made for the sole purpose of winning on Saturday, winning next week, and accomplishing the team’s goals for the season.

tbf, if youre a parent joining a message board and commenting daily (to make yourself public and not just lurking), you already know what a message board is like in terms of the stuff said. if that is going to impact where you go, then you may as well never enroll in a college outside of the ivys where it isnt taken seriously.

So because his dad is in this thread, i can't post an honest opinion? Sorry man, but i was PC about it, not disrespect either way. It's still a bad look and it's ok as a fan to say it in the right way. If i was running a business or team and canceled late, i would admit as the head guy that it was a bad look. I'm sure Mario is going the extra mile to make amends, bc he seems like that kind of guy, but there's still optics from the outside that do not shine in your favor. You still have to acknowledge and deal with them, not hide from them. I'm sure Mario is acknowledging it internally.

Nah if you read my whole post I said there is free speech it’s just my opinion. He can write what he wants. I just suggested and in my opinion it’s fried to do it. But yea he can write whatever tf he wants

Yea if you read my reply to nycane I said he can write what he wants. I just thought it was a bad idea. Especially if we had the answer to the situation in front of us. **** I’ll bad mouth the coach if he whiffs, he hasn’t yet though. We still good here. Maybe I should have worded it better. Probably my fault on that one
