Ok, this story has me freaked the $%#@!& out...

You all do realize that Penn State is (or at least should be) the precedence setter for severe penalty. They are now the standard for what is the absolute worse case scenario... What we had is a serious infiltration. The way its looking now, we are in some pretty serious trouble. If you can't see that by now, your are definitely turning a blind eye!

Nonetheless, I do believe that we will be getting similar to UNC/OSU/UCF type of penalties - i.e. LOIC, vacate wins, stats, etc., 2 bowl bans (one more since we already imposed) and maybe 3 years of scholarship losses (5-10 per year)

My opinion... this will suck! but whats worse was the fact that we have already had two season of this cloud over our program which made it MUCH WORSE!!! It would have been nice to have had this resolved a year ago... media/rival coaches/people have been teeing off on us for two ****** years!!

Gotta love Bruce Feldman's "Journalism"

I'm ready for whatever..

I agree.

It's getting sad around here. Our fanbase is pretty weak and whiny. Hurricanes....nope....more like an afternoon sprinkle with fans running for cover at every turn. We went from Thug U to coach made me sad I want to transfer and the fans are no better. "I am going to show the NCAA -- if you give Miami a harsh penalty, I'm going to take my ball and go home. I showed you!"

Yep Shalala would be fired for raising the academic ranking of the school and bringing in tons of money, but the football team cheated and couldn't win. Yep, get rid of a leader with Presidential connections because our ***** fan base running for the hills and giving up on the team says so.

WOW!

Go Canes!

10 'ships a year would be devastating. I'm hoping for something more in the range of 4-6/yr over a three year period...pray, and pray some more!

We are fin. Shalala, in any other college, or in any other institution in the World, would have been fired at least, for what has become of the program.

She is President of the University of Miami. An institution of higher learning, not a minor league football team. Your comments are ridiculous.

What's another half decade of irrelevance? At least now we'll have a built in excuse.

Maybe they'll start playing home games at Miami Northwestern

10 ships per year would be brutal. I can't imagine that we get what USC got despite cooperating. I'm thinking they are going to give us another bowl ban, 8 per year for 3 years. It's going to be debilitating.

I think the key concern will be if the NCAA allows kids to transfer out of the program without having to sit out a year.
If yes, that could get ugly.

Don't think so, because as it looks, we're probably going to decline going to a bowl this year.. that would be our two year bowl ban.. even if they give us another year that rule probably won't apply...

I should clarify what I mean by hammered as yes, I'm fully aware college football hasn't been right for a while. I've been a Miami fan, not a college football fan, for the longest time now.

Anything more than 15 schollies over 3 years, 5 per year, and maybe 1-2 more years of a bowl ban and I'm done. I'm all about paying for mistakes, even if I think the rules of the NCAA are laughable, but a lot of this is turning into over-exaggerated and repetitive bs. Do I think Miami messed up to a certain degree, of course. Do I think they did it to the extent being portrayed, not even close. Have I seen and heard about the same and worse getting swept under the rug at other places, absolutely.

THIS.

Only at the UM would you have so many folks who supposedly love the program, from the little rogue booster to his UM alum lawyer.
plus Sean Allen, to the writer, another alum do this to "their" school.

Unbelievable.

This school breeds snitches.

I can't imagine an SEC school breeding this many traitors and have them remain in the area.

AND ******* THIS.

And that was a short list.
Look at others like Dan LeBatard and Armando Salguero doing their "exposes" during the 1990s,
Billy Corben ripping his school every chance he gets on the air, Dan Sileo sucking up to the gayturds,
Clint Hurtt for being another rat-snitch, Drew Rosenhaus for pulling kids out of the program a year early.
Unbelievable.
Most be something about the soFLa area.
Lack of ethics and decency.

That was a very poorly written article.

Aside from revealing nothing new, it was circuitous and unnecessarily convoluted.

**** Feldman.

A run for the easy buck. Sounds like some of our players recently.

Nothing new here. Bottom line....playerss who did wrong while they were here paid a price
...the players didnt get exorbitant amounts of cash
..it is known the school is cooperating fully
....Randy Shannon was cleared to coach for TCU
I could go on and on. Yes..we will lose ome schollies....and maybe one more bowl ban.....20 schollies tops

Don't know what to say... I'm at a loss for words... Wish I never would've read that bull**** article...
