OJ has been great but I remember these posts about Porter last year and now everyone hates him

I wouldnt be surprised based on guidry defense whoever plays that outside corner spot would put up numbers, some defenses are setup that way. I cant say for sure as I dont know enough about his scheme but I know some defenses have boundary and field corners and based on strengths you can "hide" a corner while the other gets the most action..OJ has been great but I remember these posts about Porter last year and now everyone hates him
Yeah I defer as well to others on that topic but it seems that wayI wouldnt be surprised based on guidry defense whoever plays that outside corner spot would put up numbers, some defenses are setup that way. Robby I think can be an excellent slot corner with more experience and of course how much he dedicates to his new craftOJ has been a stud. Thought Robby Washington played well at the end of the FSU game. Really want to see him and Bobby get some more PT.
Has Bobby gotten any pt? Think I saw him get a tackle on ST one game. Don't remember seeing him any more.Robby I think can be an excellent slot corner with more experience and of course how much he dedicates to his new craft
Bobby has an important offseason… we lose Kiko and Wes (people are saying he’s gone to the draft no matter what) so if he wants to step into that rotation with Popo and Bryant this is the offseason to seal spot and fight off Adarius
Really, what people? To do what? hopefully he talks to som former teammates and they tell him unless he is first round lock he better off in school and getting NIL..Robby I think can be an excellent slot corner with more experience and of course how much he dedicates to his new craft

Though I will say when OJ has been tested he’s held up really well seems to have a really good feel for the position
Guidry knows his kids better than I do, but part of me wants to see a CB duo of Porter and OJ.
Porter's length is better served on the outside IMO.
Idk if Wes gets drafted as of RN he’s not playing to the level of a late round pick just yet. Tools and physicals are there but man does that boy bite on a play fakeRobby I think can be an excellent slot corner with more experience and of course how much he dedicates to his new craft

Well **** I’m invested. What word exactly?Jury still out on him being a future first rounder. But with 8 games in his back pocket, I think we can safely say he's going to be a freshman AA, or **** well should be. Those statistics are astoundingly good. Dare we call them .... rhymes with compete?
Porter is playing out of position due to Damari getting hurt. That’s why everyone’s hating on him right now. Once Damari is back, Porter can go back to his normal position. The secondary will be a lot better for it.OJ has been great but I remember these posts about Porter last year and now everyone hates him
Yes! And sometimes a kid develops late. Sometimes a player can hit their ceiling fast, but no more room to develop.Just goes to show that there are still "hidden gems" out there. Even at one of the mostly highly-recruiting high schools in the country.
Not that I don't want the Picketts and Hanks of the World, but there will be 3 stars that end up being studs. There's just too many kids across the country for the "experts" to keep track of.
Porter has been solid, I never thought he was an elite lockdown corner, but he’s usually in the right position.Porter is playing out of position due to Damari getting hurt. What I mean by out of position is, he’s playing in the slot right now because Damari is hurt. Once Damari is back, he can go back to playing on the outside where he’s best suited. That’s what I meant. And I agree Porter is a solid cornerback, but I’m the outside is where he is the most solid.Porter has been solid, I never thought he was an elite lockdown corner, but he’s usually in the right position.
We would NEVERThat's because too many people talked Porter up. He took the #2 not #1 guy last year, so he looked better than he was. He's very good, quality CB. Just not a shut down #1 and he's playing out of position. So people are reacting to false expectations, when we should be grateful he's a Cane and as good as he is.
When is Brown back? Could be a total game changer.
Damari started outside vs uf so i think porter was playing nickel this year regardless, guidry said we dont have a true nickel so he probably just went with the safest option in porter because he’s a vetPorter is playing out of position due to Damari getting hurt.
