Officially, definitively, 2 wins from Charlotte

And I'll be quite frank. Having lost to GT, if we lose to one of wake or Syracuse, we don't deserve to be in acccg.

If we lose to smu in the acccg, we don't deserve to be in the cfp. And don't feed me **** on Boise state/byu or others.

At some point, hold this team accountable. Play up to what they're are capable of. **** or get off the pot. This ******* team has played zero complimentary ball. ******* figure it out, or they'll be sitting at home on the couch like the rest of us.

Bro, you were kissing my a*s and liking my posts when I praised the team and defended them for 9 weeks. When the team loses, they get criticized. What is all this blind loyalty? They were unprepared and have been playing down to their opponents for weeks. Georgia Tech is bad, Cal is bad, you were struggling with Duke for 2 and half quarters. I overlooked it because we won and that's all that matters. That didn't happen yesterday. Newsflash, you can be a fan and not be blind. The coaching staff was ill prepared yesterday and other days. They have been bailed out by an all-world QB that they paid for (which they get credit for in identifying him). I've said, they win out and make it Charlotte, everyone should put this in the trash bin. But coaching was **** poor and has been for awhile.

Precisely. These folks are being obtuse on purpose. Miami was goofing around all season. Everyone has been dogging the defense and I overlooked it because the team won. You can't anymore. It finally caught up to them.

I’m talking about the crowd that says don’t focus on how bad we played because the math says we can still make it to the championship game. And I’m then laughing at the fact that this is how people watch football, completely ignoring HOW a team plays all because the math says we can still get to a goal.

Do you look at who the 2 are, or how the two happen? If we lost to better teams, no question. When we lose to a 5-4 GT team with no qb or back, yeah, more than the overall record matters. Why do you people put blinders on? Are you scared to look?

Syracuse is gonna be a dog fight. They have an offense. They will light up guidry

I’m only posting this because I’m seeing a ton of people in threads who don’t understand this.

With Pitt’s loss to UVA tonight, Miami clinches a trip to Charlotte with wins against Wake and Syracuse. That’s it. No fuzzy tiebreakers, no rooting for other teams to lose, no hopes and prayers, no math.

It’s simple.

Win your next 2 games, you go to Charlotte. Win that, you get a bye and top 4 seed in the playoffs.

I’m not going to discuss scenarios, and listen to people say we’ll get beat by 60 blah blah blah. This is only a thread for people who want to see the team play in Charlotte and possibly win the ACC.

You have nothing else to pay attention to other than Miami’s next 2 games. If they win those, Miami goes to Charlotte. No exceptions.

It’s not even that we lost. We lost to a team without a quarterback. Those 9 wins mean nothing to me. That one loss for me should subtract wins. It gives all the credence to the naysayers. Pathetic and embarrassing

Game was on the offense, to me. Full disclosure…they almost always are. I’m an offensive guy. Unless you get a 50 burger dropped on your head, I’m always gonna say you should win the game with your offense.

Not to acquit the defense. They’re pathetic, obviously. But we did get 10 possessions in that game, even with GT holding the ball so much. That’s not a lot, but we got 63 plays off. And we scored 23 points. Pretty inexcusable. 10 drives, 3 TDs and field goal and you have the #1 offense in the country. Was an overall team loss, IMO. I genuinely didn’t think anyone could hold us to 23 points. I’ll double down that it won’t happen again.
