Official Pro day numbers

Buchanan had a good day. His 40 would have been the second best at the combine for linebackers. Reps of 225 are above average. Broad jump is fine. If he did that at the combine, he would have been a star of the show at linebacker.

I'm surprised he's still only 215 pounds. IMO, he should have stayed at safety. He doesn't play well in traffic.

Preaching to the choir, meng. Dr. Lu and myself were saying that cat shoulda been a safety 50 years ago when Bill Young was here.

I think he would've been a stud in Young's Defense.

VT seemed to be drawn to ballcariers shoestrings. He had horrible technique, head down/dive at feet

I remember when VT and ST were being thrown around in the same sentence ala Shockey and Chase Ford. SMH

Is Pro Day not electronically timed?

No, it's not. So, add some time to the times quoted.

What did Aravious Armstrong run?

Im guessing slower than VT.

4.65. 18 reps. 34 inch vertical.

Graig Cooper also ran...4.72. Marcus Robinson came back and ran a 4.75. Thearon Collier ran a 4.67.

Who is the sh1tty agent that thought Coop running at greentree would be a good idea? Dude runs a 4.72 hand timed in his second pro day? Poor decision. Now he will definitely NOT get a look in the pros.

I still think its hilarious that our punter was stronger than an apparent "stud" safety.

At least we can rid ourselves of that 2008 class once and for all now. What an epic fail job. I agree with the assessment on Buchanan. Great athlete and never got better. I remember the HS writeup on him was that he absolutely DOMINATED at FNL when asked to drop back in coverage from the OLB. Was the best of the lot. M-Rob too. Those two guys were CANT MISS prospects. LOL. Smh. Can't believe we got absolutely nothing out of these guys. NOTHING.

Vaughn is a joke. Good thing he is a good long boarder. Why even show up if you know for a fact you can do anymore then 11 reps of 225? Why embarass urself? Lol.

Coop needs to give up on the dream. Will always be a Cane but the NFL just isn't in the cards for him.

Somebody will pick up Ray Ray in the 5th or 6th round and make a player out of him. Those numbers were not bad at all.

Arthur Brown ended up becoming one of the best linebackers in the nation and is rated the #1 43 OLB in the draft this year. And Randy wouldn't put him on the field.

Just tells me that some of these players would have had a much different career trajectory if they went elsewhere or had a different coach.

Bunch of these kids came here, got comfy and proceeded to suck for the rest of their lives. Buncha Ryan Moores.

******* Ryan Moore, talk about a kid with million dollar potential and a 10 cent brain.

He was a subterranean assassin. VT hated opponents' shoe laces. If we could mix his turtling and quail tendencies with Rodeo Rogers' attempts at hanging everyone high with the western lariat we might find a good middle ground.

VT's Scout profile:

STRENGTHS
Coverage Awareness (spot on)
Instincts (EReed-esque)
Tackling Ability (Sean Taylor look-a-like)

And it sucks that Gavin Hardin got injured, Zach Kane went full ******, and Marti stayed all powdered up...they never got a legit shot at mediocrity like the rest of the guys.

4.70 hand-timed might be the slowest starting safety in south florida...high schools included.

Hey, but he flipped that GT running back.

Needs to be seen.

I'll always remember sitting with him and Jacoco Harris at Mediocre Dolphins OTAs one offseason. Never seen a football player so disinterested by football.

God. We were so ******* bad at safety before Deon and Jenkins started getting burn.

So. *******. Bad.

How - the **** - do you not have affleets at safety at the University of ******* Miami????
