Rivers is trending to be a late round pick. I would throw big NIL$ at him. Financially speaking, late round OL are unlikely to get a 2nd NFL contract so it should be something for him to strongly consider esp if we sell him on playing his true position next year

This is his 5th year and he was already contemplating declaring for this past draft, there is no chance he is coming back. Besides, his draft stock wouldn’t improve much, he’s hit his ceiling here. His future in the NFL is as a solid, versatile back-up and those guys don’t get drafted in the early rounds. He has a lot of tape already and also a few injuries, it’s time for him to begin his pro career. There should be a number of younger players that can take his snaps next year, we need to allocate NIL to more important areas like QB and the secondary.

Samson is commanding a big NIL package I would imagine, so interesting to see what happens with him.

Mccoy has been the 7th or 8th OL for 3 years and we still keep penciling him in to start. I don't think it happens.

But what concerns me is we got alot of "developmental" guys coming down the pike. No true "plug and play/Cici Mauigoa" type. In last years class or this years. (so far). That absolutely concerns me.

Mauigoa is one of the best and most dominant lineman in college football, there aren't a lot of those types of guys in the nation.

I could swear I heard an interview with Mario around the time Rivers was coming back from injury where he said Rivers is a really good Center. If, by some miracle, Rivers decides to come back, the '25 OL could be the best in the country.

This photo also shows no one is open. Our WRs have problem getting open against good dbs so Shannon has to find a way to scheme them open against teams with good defenses.

FYI.....this was a 19 yard gain by Sam Brown.

Wanna play work harder. Follow your leaders, both Cam and X, are work horses. How could he miss that example. Sometimes big talent hinders big steps. When everyone in HS is kissing your A**, that entitlement in CFB, will be kicking your A**. Wake the F**k up, ***** your head on and get to work. Like this Kid, but Step up, or Step out. Your choice.

Because he’s the best tackle on the team. The problem is they lose too much with McCoy at guard and Bell can’t play guard. The line is a better overall unit even though Rivers is a better tackle than Bell.

I’m curious with what we do on the line going forward. For all the offensive line guru hype that Mario and Mirabal get, we’re still relying on portal guys and junior college transfers. Cooper has been a nice find and Francis was high floor, can’t miss guy. McCoy got some reps due to injury but wasn’t a starter in week one and is being replaced now. Kinsler and Frankie are ??? Samson can’t get on the field. Usually year three for offensive linemen is the breakout or bust year. Going to be real interesting to see what they do next season.

He's not strong enough to be a guard. He's perfect for OT, just needs to keep working his craft. I said it when he was being recruited that playing in MA wasn't doing him any favors. The talent up here is absolutely abysmal relative to IMG (Cici) or So FL. I knew he would need that RS year. But NGL, I thought he'd start pushing for major time by now. ... This kid will be a starter, he has the talent. The question is will he be willing to wait until 2026 or go be a starter elsewhere?

His injury last year killed a year of development time for him.

I won’t be shocked if next year he is one of the best 5 Oline that pushes Francis to G (His NFL future imo).

Im not caring about him when Bell is doing what he is currently. He can thus it out another year here as the swing tackle behind Bell or hit the road if he needs to play right away somewhere. But worrying about the 8th lineman currently in this thread is....

If he is truly smart and cares about his development he can stick it out and start here for 2 years. Or he can possibly go an play with his brother in Colorado and free up some NIL for us.

Its a good position to be in because the top OL in portal will be interested in playing for Mario and Mirabel yearly. So if he leaves we will replace.

The Cooper part is most surprising. We know that progression is not linear. In saying that, I expected more from him. His footwork in Pass pro seems lazy. He’s not moving his hips like he did last year, which is odd given the fact that he looks to be in the best shape of his life.

did u forget that he got hurt?. It was a leg injury i (i was at the game) when he has to mov like that in pass pro im thinking it hurts a bit. He splaying through it..he is in good shape it appears to me.
