I feel like I am continuously coming out of posting hibernation to comment on a bad take from you. Malik Bryant is a bust because he is not currently projected in the top 3 rounds of the NFL draft? Like...what?

Dude has flashed as a youngster, and yea, he has had some "natural position" issues but the talent is there. 247 had him ranked as the 51st best recruit in Florida, it's not like Malik was some can't miss 5 star. You are even talking about Malik in the past tense already, "was too slow." Dude is a great teammate by all accounts, a hard worker and is absolutely someone who can contribute on a playoff team.

Writing off Bryant as a bust is one of the more ridiculous takes I've seen in my 12 years on this site.

A cis poster says we need help everywhere

Another poster responded to him by asking based on what

I said we need help everywhere based on we keep losing to less talented teams on the regular during Mario’s tenure which is coaching issue

so we need a Corch proof roster to succeed.

Yea I am a Miami fan I expect elite thats just what I grew up seeing, do I want him to fail or kicked off the team? No

Can he contribute? Yes

Simple
But the hype in HS and where he was as a recruit I would say with respect he has under performed, thats all I am saying. And if the same thing is said for an NFL player where you draft in the second round, and he doesn't do much that is considered a bust. Thats what it is man, sorry for being honest. No one said he was a bad teammate or a good person or a good locker room guy, thats just putting words in my mouth pause. Your adding all that extra **** to my post because it doesn't line up with the way you think.

Just based off playing potentially 8 straight games if you include the ACC Championship game, the spring portal will be vital to our success this season.

Bain got hurt last year and wasn’t 100%. That’s why his production fell but you definitely can’t say he is injury prone either.

Every team has a bunch of unproven guys. Thats just how cfb goes. Time for a new crop of guys to step up.

The guy is 23 and he’s about to go into his 6th year. His best season was at WVU. And no, I don’t care if he played DT. He is a nice depth piece but cmon, these type of guys aren’t winning you championships as a starter. Let’s not pretend like that injury didn’t cause a lot of questions about his future, neither.

Being “fine” at DT isn’t winning you games. Being “elite” wins you championships. Miss me with that.

The OL and DL should be very good. It’s almost hard to suck as a football team if you kick people’s asses on both sides of the line.

This should be one of the 5-15 best teams in the country. The way Mario has acquired talent and a HEALTHY Beck gives this team a pretty high floor, imo.

This isn’t a championship team lol. Y’all want to skip steps so bad. You don’t go from being bad 20+ years to a championship team over night. When is the last time Miami has had back to back 10 win seasons? Have only played in the acccg 1 time. Has never won the acc. And you talking about elite and championship lol. Win 10 games again and win this shítty conference then maybe you can start talking about elite and championship in a couple years

The next step isn't elite. The next step is good to very good. He has been OK. OK players rarely become elite in year 6. I hope he is unseated as a starter at some point by a more talented player.
