Preliminary thoughts are:

2018 RB DeMarcus Townsend WOW!!!

2017 TE James Bostic, are we on this kid??? If not we should be, just judging by the numbers.

2017 LB/SS Brandon James is FAST, with a 4.57 40 yard laser!!! Just needs to add 15-20 more pounds at 194.

2017 LB Waynmon Steed's Shoulder looks to be 150% with a 40 foot powerball throw and the quickness is still there with a 4.33 shuttle.

2017 WR Carmoni Green is starting to make a statement based on his 1-on-1's and Sparq numbers.

2017 LB Vandarius Cowan has ideal LB size and athleticism.

2017 LB Diego F'agot's size is impressive but I didn't like what I seen on the 1-on-1's.

2017 DE Jonathan Garvin is everything his numbers say he is, quick and very athletic.

2017 LB James Houston, while I wasn't impressed by his performance in the 1-on-1's video, his numbers and hudl say he is a keeper.

2017 LB Amaud Dalton, while not from Florida, I see you!!! Numbers look good but this was not the year to come to Florida from Texas and compete at LB.

Disclaimer: These are just my observations and opinions as I am a numbers guy by profession. Looking forward to seeing what this class has to offer!!!

That's a really good 40 for a 345b hs junior. Especially, compared to this kid who was invited to the opening and has an offer from us:

Kai-Leon Herbert OL 17 FL American Heritage 6-4 277 5.47 5.18 42.0 25.3 79.17

I hope he had a really bad day...
Rodney Scott WR 17 FL Southridge 6-0 166 4.99 4.52 34.0 29.0 63.87

Would take Kemore over him at WR based on this...
Kemore Gamble TE 17 FL Southridge 6-4 216 4.09 37.0 33.9

4 inches taller, 50 lbs heavier, much quicker, jumps higher, stronger... no 40 time but I can't imagine it been much worse than 4.99...

Yeah, and that would have been the best out of two 40's. Kemore also looked good in 1-on-1's and his short area quickness is very impressive at 4.09.

I was impressed by Steed. He looked like he was carrying some extra weight at Rivals (normal coming off a shoulder injury), so he could be even quicker and faster if he leans up.

Was also impressed by Donaldson, Henderson (6'1, 4.35 in high school!) and Carmoni Green.

Scott's 40 time is alarming.

Pretty sure he runs faster if he's Dalvin's brother.

Dam!! a Scott 5.0 40?? WTF?? So much for Wilders 10.8 100 i dont believe that at all running a 4.8 40

Wasnt impressed by Daniel Wrights numbers either. 4.7 40 and 33 VJ at 168lbs. Not much explosion there in that small frame.

I think most on here have said that Rodney Scott is a "Rawshawn Scott" type possession WR. Nothing more. Wont ever be a 4.5 guy. Best he can get down to is 4.65 with some training when he gets here.

I think it needs to be said that most of these kids dont run the 40 that often. And most are probably not track guys so they dont know about form. Wilders # did surprise me. Hes a track guy. He should have at least run a 4.6.

Goes to show how fast CHenderson is to be running a 4.3 at that age.

I've been browsing the sight for about 3 months finally wanted to chime in. Scott's 40 doesn't match his film I think it's safe to say he doesn't know how to take off properly. If you look at the openning video where he left two kids in a standstill it proves he has quick feet/change of direction. His poor shuttle time led me to believe he wasn't prepared at all shoulda scratched his 40 like several others Juedy, Gamble etc.....at this point it's useless to prove anything else he's already committed with multiple offers.

Scotts 40 time does shows on tape his lack of explosion and long speed is especially evident. You have to remember that he is playing against a lot of highschool talent that doesn't run 5.0 fourties so it misleading when he runs by one these players. Moreover training him in the 40 isnt going to suddenly run a 4.5. The kid just lacks game breaking speed. I dont think he is a take

Scott's 40 time absolutely matches what you see in his highlights, which is exactly why it's so alarming. He's 166 pounds and running 4.99 in the 40. That's abysmal. No way to sugarcoat that, though some will try to gas him up because we surprisingly accepted his commitment.

^I've seen kids run slow laser 40s just cuz they don't know how to take off. Plus he is a possession receiver that can be used to pick up 3rd downs over the middle catching the ball through a small window in traffic. I noticed his foot speed off the ball is better than average it's not all about straight line speed over the top. I viewed is soph tape and he clearly looks fast enough to play d-1 ball. What sticks out tho is his ability to catch the ball at its highest point in traffic. I'd challenge anyone to watch his fist 5 to 10 steps in 1on1s and tell me if you think he actually runs as slow. The kid just hasn't mastered the combine prolly shoulda scratched or skipped it like others including Juedy who only has his shuttle posted. Look at the times and you will notice several kids don't have their 40 posted. I'm not saying Scott is fast just know for sure he's faster than those numbers it's easy to see. IMO

I'd be shocked if he ends up signing here. He's not a UM level talent and would be better somewhere like UCF or USF.

There's a world of difference between being "fast enough" to play D-1 ball and being fast enough to play at Miami.

If we were talking about a player who looks fast in his highlights but times slow, then it would merit discussion about them possibly being unprepared for the 40. But this is someone who plays slow and times slow. His 63.87 overall Sparq score shows it wasn't just the 40 in which he performed poorly.

Being slow and lacking athleticism doesn't mean he can't be a serviceable college player, but I felt before he even committed here that we should be able to do better at WR. Hopefully this works out.

I've seen many kids run slow laser times my point is it doesn't necessarily prove their true speed, especially if they're coming off an injury or not trained to launch straight forward thus allowing the laser to start before they actually take off. Now if you think he's just not good or fast enough to play at the U that's a different argument. The kid has a good offer sheet it proves he has legit film. I'm in no way saying he is the best option, however I do think his first few steps off the ball, route running and high point catching ability is why he has a good offer list. I'd be willing to bet there were lots of other kids who blew it on the laser. Juedy and several others either scratched or didn't run it. Did you see the kids witout a 40 time posted? There's a reason.
