Nick saban to texas?

If I was saban I would take that Texas job it's never good to stay at the place for to long nothing keeps you alive more then a new challenge.

I actually agree with this sentiment. However, the question really is what will make Nick happiest? Will another 3 mil a year make him happy when he already makes 7-8 mil? There is the challenge factor. Nick won at Lsu. He flopped with the Phins. He has been a gawd at Bama. Does he have anything left to prove? No. He is already in the toughest league. He is dominating the toughest league. I think if Nick were 7 years younger, he bolts. I don't think he will. But I would!

NFL is the toughest league.

Fair enough, but the SEC pays more!

Come on now. If Texas offered Saban $10 mil, Bama would counter with $10,000,001. Those mouth breathing inbreds care more about Bama football than their own families. They will not be outbid for Saban's services.

No offense, but Bama can't compete w/ Oil Money.

You know what would cement Saban's legacy even more, bringing Texas from the ashes. Considering the ego-maniac he is..I wouldn't put it past him.

That's very possible with ol' Nicky.

Although I'm sure he wants to surpass Bear Bryant at Bama before going onto his next venture. Our get as many national titles in college to where it's almost impossible for someone to catch him.

It doesn't make any sense for Saban to leave Alabama and start over again at Texas. He is filthy rich already. I doubt he would be persuaded to leave over a couple of million dollars per year over 5 years. He has the chance to go down as the GOAT college coach by staying at Alabama.

being rich doesn't make you not want to be even more rich.. some can never make enough

Every couple of years when Saban's contract is close to expiring his agent puts Saban's name back in the mix to remind the inbreds that if the dont pay Nick market, the dumb shula son who ran daddy's ****** steakhouse into the ground will be calling plays next September.

Texas has **** you money. As Bobby said, "what's the point of having **** you money if you never say **** you?" In this case, Bama gets the **** you, if Texas really wants.

Did Texas just now get all that money, or did they have it 3 years ago when Saban rejected them?

Crude oil prices have fallen dramatically in three years. Must be new income sources. Texas will be the last state to legalize weed, so it can't be that.

Herman to Texas
Jimbo to LSU

Fedora to FSU (unless they're retarded .... lolololololololololol they are retarded)
Les Miles to UNC (just kidding....Strong to UNC (just kidding....who ******* cares))

I think Saban wants to pass bear Bryant's championship record. He has things rolling at Bama and may tie Bryant's record this year and possibly surpass him next year. Why go to Texas where you have to start all over again.

Saban isn't going anywhere.

And texas should go after the young, hungry up and comer.

Maybe. But I don't see any way another school snags Bama's lord and savior away from them for a couple mil. No possible way the Red Elephant Club allows that to happen.

Only place that I think could remotely make Saban leave Bama is when Mike McCarthy gets fired and the Packers job opens up. Though even then, I think Saban stays at Bama for the rest of his career.

The Packers don't pay anywhere near as much as Bama does.

Why do you think Saban would leave for money, and for money alone?
The fact is the Packers have the best history of any team in the NFL. It is the dream job of just about anyone that aspires to coach professionally.

Saban is 65 years old. He has nothing left to prove in college. His legacy is already set in stone. If he ever wants to try to win a Championship in the NFL he's running out of time. So it comes down to if he has any goal of doing anything in the NFL. If the Packers job does indeed open up, and he gets offered the job, thats tough to pass up, especially when you would get the best QB in the NFL with some good weapons around him.

Now if I were him, I'd just stay at Bama and win as many championships as possible with the time I have left. But I wouldn't make the decision based on how much money I'd be making. It'd be about where I want to live/retire and what my goals as a coach are.

I would usually agree...but the whole state of Texas is full of the same boosters that care more about football than their families...Have you seen the high school stadiums in Texas and how much money they spend on them? Can only imagine how much $$$ Power they would have to get Saban in the state.

Saban failed as NFL coach plus why he leaves a stable lucrative job to "NFL" which stands for Not For Long" for coaches?

supposedly he was a potential NY Giants coach, I read somewhere Bob Arum is friends with Tisch the owner of the Giants and said Saban was interested in the gig for like 10 mil a year. But they gave their word to McAdoo and he was already hired. I call BS on Arum's version, his wife hated FT Lauderdale can you imagine her in NYC??? Now Wisconsin sure, I could see that.

I haven't heard that version but I am a Giants fan and I heard that there was some interest from one side. No idea how it played out behind the scenes. Just **** glad he didn't get the job.

If Saban thought like him he'd be a 65 year old Quality Control Coach.
