Nick saban to texas?

Wasn't it rumored Texas was to break 100million for Saban in 2015 or 2014, can't remember the year.

Come on now. If Texas offered Saban $10 mil, Bama would counter with $10,000,001. Those mouth breathing inbreds care more about Bama football than their own families. They will not be outbid for Saban's services.

Bama would not win a bidding war with Texas. It's just a matter of how badly Texas wants Saban. They could probably get Herman for $7 million or Saban for double that. They went cheap last time.

It doesn't make any sense for Saban to leave Alabama and start over again at Texas. He is filthy rich already. I doubt he would be persuaded to leave over a couple of million dollars per year over 5 years. He has the chance to go down as the GOAT college coach by staying at Alabama.

Texas needs to go save Chip Kelly from himself, and do for him what Alabama did for Saban.

Kelly is just the guy to deal with Texas and their boosters.

Herman should take the Baylor job. They'll up his salary, and he'll have more control than he would have at Texas. Plus, he can take his Houston staff with him. To take the Texas job, he'd be leaving Applewhite. But maybe he's ok with that if he believes Gilbert is an upgrade at the OC spot?

Saban and Jimbo should stay put. But if Jimbo does leave, it will be because he believes the landscape in the SEC West is easier than going against Louisville, Clemson, Miami and Florida every season.

Why would Herman have to leave Applewhite behind if he went to Texas?

Applewhite had a "inappropriate sexual relationship with a co-ed" during his last stint on the Texas staff.

It was years ago, so maybe it won't be a big deal? Especially if they want Herman bad enough, and he makes it a condition for him to come.

Lol at filthy rich. Texas could get him if they wanted him.

Texas has **** you money. As Bobby said, "what's the point of having **** you money if you never say **** you?" In this case, Bama gets the **** you, if Texas really wants.

You know what would cement Saban's legacy even more, bringing Texas from the ashes. Considering the ego-maniac he is..I wouldn't put it past him.

If I was saban I would take that Texas job it's never good to stay at the place for to long nothing keeps you alive more then a new challenge.

I actually agree with this sentiment. However, the question really is what will make Nick happiest? Will another 3 mil a year make him happy when he already makes 7-8 mil? There is the challenge factor. Nick won at Lsu. He flopped with the Phins. He has been a gawd at Bama. Does he have anything left to prove? No. He is already in the toughest league. He is dominating the toughest league. I think if Nick were 7 years younger, he bolts. I don't think he will. But I would!

Only place that I think could remotely make Saban leave Bama is when Mike McCarthy gets fired and the Packers job opens up. Though even then, I think Saban stays at Bama for the rest of his career.

Saban would never leave bamer for the big leagues. He knows the advantage recruiting and control he has at bamer. Those are advantages he'll never have in the league as well as respect for his coaching abilities. His success is 80% recruiting and don't fool yourself that he's more than a good college coach.

Me personally I will like to see him leave I want him as far as possible from sofla, I'm not gonna lie Bama been on our a$$ lately when it comes to recruiting.

The money at both jobs will be the same and, in my opinion, BBQ in Texas is overrated and not as good as in Tuscaloosa.

Not that it matters much compared to quality BBQ, but Nick Saban has part ownership of a Mercedes dealership in Bama.

He will have part ownership of oil companies in Texas

Saban's agent is just beating the drum for a bigger payday. Same thing as last time three years ago. That being said **** Saban and all those rednecks, I'm sick of that whole program and fan base.

NFL is the toughest league.

Wouldn't doubt it. Tim Sexton is the agent for both Saban and Jimbo.

I think this is nonsense. You think Saban wants to deal with billionaire oil boosters holding facilities and improvements hostage unless he does A or B and kisses the right asses? Right now at Bama he answers to no one and gets a blank check. Not an upgrade for him.

I could see Saban wanting another shot the NFL. He failed at Miami, and might not have had he signed Brees instead of Culpepper. He's won everything multiple times at Bama. If the right NFL team threw enough money at him he might give the NFL another chance. Why not Green Bay? He would have a HOF QB in Rodgers, and he builds up a defense. Hypothetically speaking.

Texas makes no sense. Saban likely wins another NC this season, which gives him 6, tied with Bryant. One more NC after that and he is the GOAT. He would have to build UT, and at age 64 would he risk not beating Bryant's legacy for a few million dollars? He already makes a fortune.

Money AND a possible chance at a Super Bowl, maybe.
