I believe it's been mentioned that Lofton may take some snaps back there as well, wonder if that's being factored in and also a reason for less concern with the RB room. Allen would have been nice had he stuck around.

As things currently stand, we need our young guys in the front 7 to take a massive step forward to be more than an average defense.

Next year is a big year for Dawson. He exceeded my expectations this season, but he had Ward. Let's see how he does with a less mobile guy. If he puts together another top 10 offense, he's probably a HC somewhere in 2026.
 
We have a tougher schedule but if we get 2023 Beck I'LL TELL EVERY MF LIE available...especially with a better secondary and attacking defense

Good take, though I think we will need to win all of our ACC games but next years first quarter + of the schedule will be tough. ND, UF, FSU, UL

Not sure why it's ridiculous. Our biggest issue last year was the defense, which has a great chance of being significantly better. Beck might not be Cam, but he is a top QB (assuming he heals properly, which is expected) so I'm not sure why we couldn't have a top offense again. Of course we need to add some more pieces in the spring portal, but let's not act like it's crazy to think another 10 win season is achievable.
 
i think our roster as constructed right now can win 8 games with two legit receivers and solid #3 rb for depth our offense can be top 40 and avg around 350-400 yards a game. Think we need quality dlineman, lb and safety also on defense, so 5 or 6 more transfers on top of lucas if we ever get him & the Defense gels with new coaches we should be top 5 in acc in both defense and offense and the floor should be 9 wins. Florida will be better, but not exactly juggernauts and who know about the irish. They will be a well coached good solid team, but not same as this year and who will be there QB if they dont get someone like ewers.

You can be better but have a worse record.

This team doesn’t lose to GA TECH, BOwl game.

Assuming the changes all work.

Beck is NOT Ward

Of course our DEFENSE will get better but our offense is NOT top 10 next year to offset it. Plus our SCHEDULE is significantly more DIFFICULT

Our ONE path is 9 wins and ACCCG. 10 wins is not the floor, probably APPROACHING the ceiling. 7 wins is our Floor
