New Staff Same S**t

That’s why I said helped but you don’t think a player who is transferring is going to look at his direct coach for the position he is playing. Let alone did it dawn on you that it’s possible Emerson sees to much competition and notices he won’t be playing till his Junior/ senior year with a gurvan and Bolden combo down the line for a couple of years.

Lol so he gets credit because he takes up a coaching spot? Please stop. If Brevin was at any other school Tate and Bolden wouldn't be here, they would be there. Stop acting like Banda is some indispensable coach.

The bolded part is such an excuse and a joke. Other schools don't have the problem stacking kids on top of each other and convincing the kids to come. That's what recruiting is, selling big boxes of hope and air. You're kind of making my point by stating that. Coaches that are good recruiters can and do get players to come when they might not see the field for at least a year.

Same staff on the D except for the DC. With all the turmoil with Richt retiring, Manny being hired, entire O staff being let go, etc., etc., the "new" staff got a late start. No excuses, just facts. Made some big moves in the portal in an attempt to supplement shortcomings. And so far, they're handing out offers **** near all over the country. Hopefully, with a new HC, OC and DC, the philosophy will change. For me, the jury is still out.

Emerson apparently changed his mind after a “good” in home visit. Y’all know what that means...

Per Mississippi State 247 update.

Are you implying they are bagging 3* DBs that barely crack the top 1000 now? Lol.

How do we lose Martin Emerson to Mississippi State ? He OV'ed twice to Miami. That's one more time then rique went to Georgia and they landed him.

Fire Banda! Let Rumph coach both safeties and corners & straight up just hire a recruiter on that side of the ball!
Sorry bruh they both suck a$$ at recruiting. Fire both if anything but they do produce on the instructional side.

But don't worry OP! As long as they continue to tweet about the weather everything should be fine!....smh

2019 class has 15 recruits
2019 class has 1 safety
2019 class has 1 cb
Miami is the richest fertile area in the country.
Miami produces the best football players.

However, i'm not optimistic we sign anyone remaining. I've followed recruiting since Damione Lewis, Ed Reed, Santana Moss, Andre King, etc. Right now I just read. I'll be 42 in June and this team and site has aged me. Hopefully development and talent evaluation grades out well in years to come for 2019.

2020 - I hope we have at least 10 wins and a foundation (hint hint) to see if we can get more than 15 recruits and not lose every top recruit in Miami.
0/20 on losing top recruits in Miami is like the odds of winning the Power Ball. I'm going to bet we do better next year. We'll take 20 recruits next year and hit the portal up. Baby steps.

Educate yourself. Everybody pays in the SEC.

I have no doubt that 4*s are paid, especially in the SEC. But come on mane, you're trying to say they are going as far paying borderline 3 players? I don't believe that. If they do, they can keep him lol.

Shut up. Have we not all come to grips with the greatness of the 2019 portal and the fact that the rest of this incoming freshmen class is kindve a wash? Done deal? Late in the game? Not gonna happen? Bogle? Come on guys I know you arent expecting us to all the sudden be "in it" with big time 2019 prospects all of the sudden.

Per Mississippi State 247 update.
Changed this week following another good in-home visit with Bulldog assistant Terrell Buckley and one key factor is his opportunity to play under Buckley. He is expected to unofficially visit Mississippi State this Saturday and if those plans hold, that would be a pretty good turn of events for this class, especially with the defensive backs board. This per Miss St 247 source.

To lose something you have to have had it before you lose it. When we ever had him? Thank you for the analysis.

So we got beat out by the team he has been committed to? Shocking, such an A+ post.

When that team is Miss State, it's alarming. This isn't exactly UGA or Bama we're recruiting against. We should easily be able to flip someone from Miss State, especially with the track record of putting guys in the league at the position since Rumph and Banda have been here.

The flip side of the portal: "yeah the portal, Martin do you really want to invest your future with Miami when they go out and get all these mercenaries to come in and play 1 or 2 years, thus taking valuable developmental time away from you...."

So Miami went into an area known for SEC school bias the panhandle and worked on flipping a kid that was committed and basically was a backup plan, then that SEC school he is committed to shows him he is a priority and somehow Miami lost him? Depth wise it makes it seem like he is told he can play right away, maybe he doesn't want to play striker, maybe he wants to play CB. There are a million reasons but Miami never had him to lose. This thread is dumb, you could say another swing and a miss by Banda and that is fair but Miami didn't lose the kid.
