new jerseys next year

Real talk, Nike tried to make us look like Oregon with their fruity pro combat garbage they had us wear. Phil Knight gives a **** about Miami... he's an Oregon fan.

**** nike.

Nike plain sucks balls. If you're decked out in Nike then you have zero style.

For example, I have yet to see a pro combat uniform that looks good. If you can find one, prove me wrong. I know ours were garbage. Everything they do seems like they try way too hard to be cool, yet there's nothing cool about it.

So if we're stuck with Nike, hopefully they don't **** it up too bad with their *** swooshes and eyebrows.

Nike comes out with new concept uniforms every year. They will never revert back to an older style Nike uniform (i.e. 2000-2003 style). I just want them to keep it simple and give it a clean/classic look.

Oregon's uniforms are sick, but that's not our style.

I want one helmet, two types of pants (white and orange), and MAYBE three jersey tops (orange, green, white) and yes, bring back the black cleats (at least have them be predominantly black).

FYI, we will NEVER get a black uniform. At UM, when the baseball and basketball teams had them, other sports were complaining because they didn't have a black alternate, so the school just did away with them entirely (kind of childish, I know).

The "clam" logo has been done away with as well.

We are one of Nike's "experimental" schools so whatever style uniform we get next year will then be handed down to other Nike sponsored schools years after. Like when Oregon St. got our 2000-03 uni's style in 2005.

The Icy whites were HARD.... but that Orange Pro Combat jersey sucked

lol @ the people acting like uniforms are gonna determine how you play on the field. Just because you put Ray Lewis's jersey on, doesn't mean you're gonna play like him.

Alright. That one's actually not bad.

Any kid who commits to a school for its uniform is too stupid to breathe

What a high school recruit wants to wear doesn't factor in

I didn't grow up watching the 80's and 90's uniforms, but they are better than this fruity Nike garbage, and the old uniforms are uniforms of dominance.

I don't give a **** what some high school kid thinks about our colors.

We're not going to lose a recruit because of a ****ing jersey. Get real.
If we do, that kid is too stupid to play here anyway. True story.

We need a solid brand. Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, USC.... most good teams don't have to resort to gimmicks to win recruits.

Leave that **** to Maryland and Oregon.

It's funny...you can basically tell someone's approximate age by which uniform they like. Guess what? We are recruiting kids that were born in 1995-1996. They were freaking eight years old in 2003-2004. They are
Nike generation kids and love it or hate it, they want LOUD uni's that also honor tradition. I'm expecting the traditional U helmet with maybe a game or two with an alternative helmet. In addition, you better believe that Nike will bring best in the business product that will be a major recruiting tool and a great royalty provider to the University. Russell..LOL...ADI...Barf

SMH do you know that kids are committing to schools just b/c of there uniforms?? Nobody wants to play wearing those bleached out colors that you grew up watching. The new generation wants options and alternates. Do you see FSU talking about tradition when they pull out there black on black uni's?? You old heads need to catch up....

That is fine but you all disrespect the early 2000 teams that had players that are dominating currently in the NFl.

Those uniforms equal a winning tradition as well.

-What do having a certain uniform have to do with the actual performance on the field? It doesn't matter if we were dressed in all yellow, if we come to play we'll win. Some of you all are making it seem as if we 'modernize' our uni's we'll suck.

-What tradition do we have in our uni's??? Over the course of time, we've changed our uni's, so kill the Bama, Michigan, USC, OSU comparisons

These guys are Bama fans.... A real Miami fan knows that we have change our uniforms just about as much as the seasons change.

Southpawcane can keep thinking that wearing modern uniforms will make Al Golden's team worse all he wants, b/c he's more than likely a Bama fan anyway.

Now emo is going to tell us all what a "Real Miami Fan" is. A real Miami fan is being a season ticket holder since 1982 who stuck with the program through the last probation when you were still running around in ****** diapers and stuck with the program through the end of the Coker era and Randy era. Bama was mentioned because they only happen to have the most National Championships of any program in CFB history and tradition most certainly has something to do with it.

Who said anything about a uni making the team worse? I seem to recall you "emo" claiming recruits come to Miami because of Sean Taylor and the uniforms they wore. You also made the claim that recruits pick certain schools because of all the uniform ensembles they mix and match. You also mentioned that recruits only mention Ray Lewis because he still balls in the NFL? But yet Sean Taylor is deceased????? Then you completely contradicted yourself with your whole Bama hasn't won in years and years and blah blah blah....

In short, you're an emo who couldn't debate his way out of wet tissue paper. I hope to god the new uni's aren't another abortion come to life that you would think is "swaggalishes". The last thing this team needs is a mani pedi before the game to show off their Zone 3 swag.

I didn't real all that and I dont know who actually will.... You want us to be like Alabama... I get it, I don't want to look like an old man's football team. Alabama has their own winning tradition that dates a lot further back than Miami's.

So you can hang up the be like Bama argument.... Miami's tradition is about switching up our styles. Sorry, but you can always watch Bama and Penn St. if you want to look at old "tradition" all day.

Why can't the Old Style "throwback" look be an alternate jersey?? Other teams do that... and it's all about options not just having one look all the time.

The early 2000's teams only won one title, early 90's/80's won FOUR.

No disrespect but four is better than one.

Actually the 80s won Three, The 90s won ONE, The 2000s won ONE (we did get robbed for the sixth one)

Nobody on here is talking about wearing some crazy uniform that is unrecognizable.... Miami has been wearing different uniforms after the 80s and we still are recognized.

If we go back to the early 2000 uniforms plus have the alternate "Throwback Uniforms," how would that make us "unrecognizable?"

Bama has been wearing the same old school uni's since the Bear Bryant days. Who won the National Championship last year? You're recruiting claim holds no water at all. So what if some emo's pick Oregon because they enjoy having options in the uni lineup like some metro sexual? Those recruits can go to Oregon who has been on the brink of almost winning for a decade now.

LOL It's funny how "Cane Fans" are comparing Miami to Alabama... Bama is a country *** school that is apart of the establishment tradition of college football. Miami shattered the traditional boring mold.... The "U" is nothing like Bama. I'd rather be compared to schools w/ swag like Oregon and Ok. St. than a school like Bama and Penn St. You old timers must have forgot that Miami was the rebels of college football. But now you all are trying to be like "Bama???" SMH

Who cares what uni we wear until we are actually playing ball like Bama. 2 NC's in the last 3 years is where I want to see my Canes.

We have to crawl before we run..... You can't say it doesn't matter until we play ball like Bama b/c it sounds good. Bama isn't the only good team in college football.

**** we haven't even been able to stay in the top 25, so it's crazy to set the bar at being compared to the #1 team in the nation. Just b/c we're not ranked #1 doesn't mean that our team doesn't deserve to wear new uniforms.

The Hurricanes won Three titles in the 80s. That hasn't happened since and it isn't this teams fault.

His point, if I'm not mistaken, is that the kids that are committing because of the uni's are the kids we don't really want. I'm sure there are some that do that, but can you name one that has turned into a player that you build a program around? I can't.

I'm fine with having up to date uni's and alternates that we can use catch the eye of a kid, but if that's the REASON he commits, we got the wrong type of kid.

Btw, it's the team that makes the uni, not the other way around. No one really gave a **** about Oregon's uni's until they started ballin' out.

Wait, Wut? And that has to do with uniforms why? And how do you know they aren't? You see a lot of kids mention the Ray Lewis's and Michael Irvin's that they like.

Zone3 thinks Miami's dominance started in 2000.

Ray Lewis never played in a modern uniform but don't tell him that. In his opinion all football recruits are metro sexual's looking to accessorize their uniform with their helmet. It's a generational thing...

View attachment 12114

Ray Lewis didn't play in the 80's.... and we are not wearing Russell Athletic jerseys so that point is void. Just b/c you were in college in the 80s doesn't mean that these kids have to hold those teams near and dear to them.... These kids were born in the mid-late 90s, i'm sorry it hurts your feelings that they grew up fans of the Hurricanes in the 2000s.

You should be glad that the Hurricanes in the early 2000s were able to leave an impression on these kids b/c nobody would come to play for Miami if that wasn't the case.

BS! CFB is cyclical and any good coach can come to Miami and win. Golden is proof. Kids come to Miami because of the program as a whole not just because they may have watched a Canes game in their dirty diaper in 2000. And it most certainly has nothing to do with uni's. That pretty fairy white twinkle toe uni Miami played in against Wisconsin must have leaked estrogen all over the players that night because it was too cold and they just couldn't stand it so they folded like lawn chairs and packed it in for the night like women. They couldn't wait to get back to their hotel and get their NCAA football on on the PS3.

Give me solid colors with solid lines in a modern look over this fairy **** any day of the week. Let the women our men fock after winning a championship look pretty.

Oh you mean these uniforms..... It's called Swagger, get it together Bama fan.

View attachment 12115

That's not swagger. Swagger has nothing to do with a uni, never has..
