new jerseys next year

I don't understand why we can't just do something completly new? Kids love new unis they really do. It gets them excited. I far more worried about what the young teens perspective of the unis then some old timer fans who wanna see us go back to the glory days. I'm all for tradition but at some point we gotta create a new era in Miami history and stop living in the past.

Nike will be the ones designing the uniform and they will probably stay with an orange and white base and just incorporate a few tweaks and new designs.... nothing out of left field and I dont think we will have any pro combats any more.

What about an alternate Black on Black Uniform as well, similar to OKlahoma state's? Honestly, they **** HARD!

Would be awful.

Naw, they would be dope, black uni's would be that crack, as an alternate that is, I want something that is modern, give us our black sock and cleats back and don't touch the current helmet

USNAVYCANE.... Awful really???

Brittle757.... Yeah that's where I was going with it. All Black Uniforms, as an alternate, would be Crazy. Like I said every other team sports @ Miami has black uniforms, so why not the Football team?

We need to keep the current white helmet's but also have black helmets as an alternate, w/ the black uni's. I don't like the green helmets @ all.

- I think multiple uniform color choices would give us even more of an upper hand on recruiting. Kids love the Oregon ducks and Oklahoma State multiple uniform choices.

- we need to go back to having the Green on White, Orange on Green, and the Green on Green color combo's to go along w/ the standard Orange on White.

It's funny...you can basically tell someone's approximate age by which uniform they like. Guess what? We are recruiting kids that were born in 1995-1996. They were freaking eight years old in 2003-2004. They are
Nike generation kids and love it or hate it, they want LOUD uni's that also honor tradition. I'm expecting the traditional U helmet with maybe a game or two with an alternative helmet. In addition, you better believe that Nike will bring best in the business product that will be a major recruiting tool and a great royalty provider to the University. Russell..LOL...ADI...Barf

I agree. Its not new if we just rip off what former teams wore. I'm am all for a more modern look as long as its not over the type like those Nike pro combat craps they put out. Kids these days love Oregon's unis, although I think some of them are just too much. Gotta stop living in the past.

I don't give a **** what some high school kid thinks about our colors.

We're not going to lose a recruit because of a ******* jersey. Get real. If we do, that kid is too stupid to play here anyway. True story.

We need a solid brand. Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, USC.... most good teams don't have to resort to gimmicks to win recruits.

Leave that **** to Maryland and Oregon.

You can have a new modern design based on a throwback jersey that pops. I guess some of you must have missed the new Dodge Charger, or Chevy Camaro, or Ford Mustang that went back to their roots? How about letting the breaker uni's from 2000-2002 become old school before honoring that uni prematurely? Those recruits you guys keep mentioning will be just fine with any uni that's Orange and Green. They aren't coming to Miami because of the uni they are coming because it gives them a better opportunity to win championships and make it to the league because our tradition is of doing just that. Calling the old uni's garbage is a slap in the face to everything that came before 2000-2002. That's just stupid...

Nike comes out with new concept uniforms every year. They will never revert back to an older style Nike uniform (i.e. 2000-2003 style). I just want them to keep it simple and give it a clean/classic look.

Oregon's uniforms are sick, but that's not our style.

I want one helmet, two types of pants (white and orange), and MAYBE three jersey tops (orange, green, white) and yes, bring back the black cleats (at least have them be predominantly black).

FYI, we will NEVER get a black uniform. At UM, when the baseball and basketball teams had them, other sports were complaining because they didn't have a black alternate, so the school just did away with them entirely (kind of childish, I know).

The "clam" logo has been done away with as well.

We are one of Nike's "experimental" schools so whatever style uniform we get next year will then be handed down to other Nike sponsored schools years after. Like when Oregon St. got our 2000-03 uni's style in 2005.

Orange Top/White Pants
White top/orange pants

Recruits come if you win. Alabama/Ohio St/Michigan has been wearing the same **** since the dawn of time.

And we aren't those teams. What I mean by that is, their uniform will never change, only a few have that, we've changed designs on our uniforms over the decades, I don't even see how you can even include Miami with those schools that you mentioned, we don't have to have outlandish uni's but some modern ones would be nice.
