New depth chart

Am I the only one that would like to see Gunter moved to Safety? I mean he is plenty big enough, tackles well and can obviously can cover. He would be the perfect FS on this team. That would allow no more #30, get more of #1 and would allow #2 to play a bit closer to the LOS where he is very good. We definitely need a fourth safety and if Carter is not ready, I would be willing to bet Gunter could easily make the transition, we could even roll him over the top of a big wr like a benjamin when we play teams that create a size mismatch.

Been saying this sht since North Carolina! How in the **** can a D coord making half a mill with access to the all 22 camera film not see this sht but we can?!?

So you guys are saying we move one guy out of his natural position that he is currently beasting at to a position where he will more than likely be at least slightly less effective. Then you put a backup in his spot at cornerback and decrease the level of play at that position as well.

Seems legit...let the coaches coach.

Are we better off with Highsmith playing safety or Gunter? ok What abt Burns? I have NEVER seen a safety play that bad. How did Gunter beasting at corner help us on those 3 tds? Get the best players on the field and get the liabilities off. period.

Leave Gunther at CB. Any combo of Bush, Jenkins, and Rodgers at S is fine. Don't take one of your best 2 CBs away and put him at a position that he needs to adjust to midseason...that's just dumb.

I hate Highsmith. I do. I believe he cost Miami the game on Saturday.

at least 21 points

He's a senior, right? 6 more games....

A Hurricane fan should never say or write the words "hate" and "Highsmith" in the same sentence.

person clearly don't know our history...I'm sure his dad is not happy with his play as well and wish we had other alternatives.

Charles Woodson struggled with the move to safety from CB.

What makes us think Gunter can do it with no harm?

Coaches need to just act like 30 got hurt and can't play anymore. Treat it like that, and find someone else to play the position. I don't move Gunter. Instead, I put Bush and Jenkins out there and rotate 22 in only when you have to.

If you need to go deeper than that, then get Carter ready. If Carter can't give you more than 30 even as a true freshmans, then he's never going to amount to anything. That's how bad 30 is. 30 would be a backup at a decent FCS school.

I don't see the point of letting 31 eat up Figs reps either. Figs is head and shoulders better and brings a thump and athleticism that 31 can't ever dream of bringing.

I didn't, not sure why that was directed at me.

I don't think he belongs on the field though. We shouldn't recruit a kid just because his daddy was a great Hurricane. That scholly could have gone to someone else who is more athletic.

After Highsmith leaves, we have 4 years of Ray Lewis' kid to look forward to.

Nepotism sucks.

LULZ. So you know RL3 sucks based off of what?

He's short, small, and doesn't run fast? He only got a scholarship offer because of his dad?

I'll answer... good athlete coming out of HS, great kid, smart, played QB in HS, works hard, good lockeroom kid, legacy kid. There's always room for those types of kids on the roster. Problem is (and this isn't AJH's fault) that because of injuries and general lack of depth, he's playing more minutes that he probably should. Can't fault the kid for that.

Looking back, Gerod Holliman and Jabari Gorman and Robenson Therezie were big misses in 2011 and could have helped us.

No doubt there have been misses, and now the NCAA **** is done, and over. There is no excuses why those types won't be part of this program in the future.

I not talking abt moving Gunter permanently, just until Bush gets healthy. But until that happens........

But it does make me wonder. How does u*** have guys in its secondary line up at every position from one snap or series to another, and do it seamlessly?

You are all a bunch of A**holes for dogging AJ like that. By all accounts he's a good kid and he has a good grasp of the mental side of the position. He just has physical limitations. Most of us on this board have physical limitation. His numbered got called and he did the best he could. Its not his fault that there isn't a better option at his position. That's on the coaches. The kid's a Cane. The kid is family. Its enough to point out he isn't getting the job done, but y'all don't have to dog him.

He started as a QB for us! Changed over to safety to help with depth. He has always been a team guy. No he is not the best but the man loves his team and coaches other player around him. I hate to see so many "fans" talk so much **** about him. He is not trying to go out there and give up big plays.

I know its not easy to make that move, I understand that. I just want to know how the turds do it so well. They all play corner, nickel back and safety within their scheme.
