New depth chart

So Gaines is flying around in practice, yet Kirby is licking his chops to be in the starting rotation? I dont ******* get it...

and i keep seeing Ufamba Kamalu on the depth chart but i never see him on the field.

Also why is Alonzo Highsmith still on the depth chart?

Kid looked like a deer in headlights trying that FG on our 1st drive... even struck the ball without conviction.

I've always found it odd that one guy can't do both. I mean, what do they do all day in practice. Is it really that difficult to learn to drop a ball and kick it; kick from a tee and kick from a holder?

Seriously, does anyone know? I don't mean to dumb it down but it seems like one guy should be able to perform all kicking duties.

I don't understand the Kamalu thing either, I would like to see him in there. He has done good to my knowledge when he has been in there

Did you see how he played against Ebron? Kid is still green IMO.

Ebron will do that to a lot of LB's though and the kid will be in the NFL next year. Agree he's still learning but his physical upside is much higher than Gaines.

Ebron will do that to a lot of LB's though and the kid will be in the NFL next year. Agree he's still learning but his physical upside is much higher than Gaines.

I agree but this year I think Gaines over Kirby.

Been saying this sht since North Carolina! How in the **** can a D coord making half a mill with access to the all 22 camera film not see this sht but we can?!?

I don't think he was the root cause, but he certainly didn't help the situation. His poor coverage and range, **** poor tackle on wilder at the 12, and that abomination whiff against Benjamjn was fuxkin awful! That pass was ripe or the pickin as they say. Him and Rodgers can't leave Miami fast enough.

I also saw him diving in the dam dirt on the screen pass td by Freeman.

Right. Are saying Williams would have made those two perfect passes to Hurns for TDs? Morris' second pick wasn't bad. the LB had his back turned on the throw, turned around at the right time and made a good play. QBs are taught to throw the ball when the player in man coverage has their back turned to the line of scrimmage. Also are you guys the same ones that said we need to throw the ball to the middle of the field? That's what he was doing with that seam route.

So you guys are saying we move one guy out of his natural position that he is currently beasting at to a position where he will more than likely be at least slightly less effective. Then you put a backup in his spot at cornerback and decrease the level of play at that position as well.

Seems legit...let the coaches coach.

Are we better off with Highsmith playing safety or Gunter? ok What abt Burns? I have NEVER seen a safety play that bad. How did Gunter beasting at corner help us on those 3 tds? Get the best players on the field and get the liabilities off. period.

So what you are saying is that you are satisfied with #59 being our starter in a ****** defense that has been man-handled in the trenches the last couple of weeks and needs some re-alignment correct? For god's sake, he is your MLB bra,,. the heart of your defense brother. Your MLB is the reflection of your D bra.. Look what happened when we had Glen cook and Romeo Davis flying around..! I trust in our coaches to do their jobs, but this senority **** needs to stop IMO.. We have 4 games left , granted we are 7-1 etc.. but we could have been easily a .500 team right now.. Gaines is better than cook and davis, but we have to set the expectations higher going forward amigo. Coaches should not be afraid to try different personnel packages and promote competition on a "week to week" basis for the best interest of the team. Right now, our D sucks balls - i dont care what our stats say,, we are not a good Defense right now..

this is almost like kirby's first year. last year he was thrown in mid-season with no training camp as a true freshman,.
