Who cares about the stars, we have a bunch of commits that can play, we will get the big fish, every revruiting cycle is different

Watch the tape. It matters more than anything else. It kinda tells you if he can play or not. All that other stuff is garbage. If he can't play, then it is a mistake. IF he can, pray no one finds out.
 
One of these days when a thread pops up saying there's a new commit, it will be for one of our top targets. A big-time recruit who projects as a major difference maker. And we'll all celebrate with Remy gifs.

Unfortunately, this isn't one of those times.

Congrats to the kid, though.

We better hope we win some games and show some life next year, or this will come to fruition.

We've taken plenty of flyers on guys who are raw and may have some ability, but aren't in the upper-echelon of top high school talent.

Given how loaded south Florida is this year, this is a very underwhelming start.

Not floored. Find myself feeling more and more like this everytime we get a new commit.

Since offers are a big deal. Spence has them from Auburn and USC. Feder has them from Michigan State and Tennessee. Perry has one from Auburn. Everyone wants Archibald. Mahoney has one from BC, they generally produce if not NFL O-Lineman then good college OL. So schools who get big time recruits or do a good job at projecting at certain positions have taken those flyers as well.
 
Well, I think this kid is awesome and once he fills out with muscle he will be even better. He doesn't look like he has an ounce of fat on him right now. And you can not teach his aggression.

South Florida Oline is not loaded this year.

If some of you people actually have a problem with the offer then how about leveling some criticism at Kehoe? You don't think he signed off on it? Oh, that's right. Alfred is from Jersey and that's next door to Pennsylvania....I'm just surprised that there's no way to criticize D'Onofrio here too.

Jesu Christo, some of you need to relax. Was last year's OL class not of any quality? This isn't a DL type of recruit where we're looking for contributions sooner rather than later.
 
Dont love the tape and he is not a 4 star kid but people forget when Chad Thomas committed to us last spring/summer he was a 3 *. I just hope the coaches are good in their projections and these kids blow up their senior year.

If this was a skill position player then I would be a VERY concerned considering the talent down here. I'm not worried about OL recruiting especially when it's in Goldens neck of the woods.
 
Seriously I know they wont have a good answer for why they "know this" but can anybody say why this kid isn't good and DONT say he's a 3*. Basically name a game that you've seen him play before you judge
 
at this point, his star rating and offer list are almost irrelevant. If he's a 2 star player with offers from only those schools in October, I'll be a lot more concerned.
 
People on this board would still be ridiculous if we picked up 5 star players. Our fan base will never be satisfied
