NCAA investigation, go ahead, ask me...

Doesn't the fact that a private organization is investigation on of it's member institutions in tandem with somebody with a vested interest in harming the investigatee mean anything in the legal world? Doesn't the NCAA working with this *****, on this case, indicate some kind of malicious intent on behalf of the NCAA that could be grounds for prosecution in itself? Doesn't the enforcement committee claim to be impartial, and are they in any way, shape, or form, and are they required to be, by some form of corporate law or regulation?

It is also my opinion that Ms. Perez should keep her mouth shut for now.

Heck no. I've been waiting all day for her to speak. She certainly didn't disappoint, with wobbly speculation that the NCAA might be sabotaging its own investigation due to monetary concerns, plus the line that the NCAA was willing to pay Shapiro over matters of common interest.

It's to our benefit every time she opens her mouth. Hopefully the bigshot reporters pick up on her material. Shapiro would have turned the NCAA case into a laughing stock within weeks if he had been free to comment regularly. Perez lacks that gift but from the outset her quotes were shady, as I mentioned in a post a couple of days ago, and not exactly rock solid calm and lawyerly.

Could Perez be backing her alma mater in the 11th hour? Kinda outlandish but you just never know. Maybe she felt guilty......

That **** **** can never repair the damage she was part of. **** that ***** ho cumrag. What she needs to feel is a WEZ poster-led bukkake. Then, I might feel as though she might have partially repaid her debt.

I'm starting to get the idea that this ***** has been ******* Shapiro for a long, long time, and that is why she does such dumb **** for him. She's one of those girls.

No, no - don't misinterpret - the more she talks, the better for The U. There's no question about that. However, from the standpoint of Ms. Perez and protecting her license to practice law, she should keep her mouth shut. Cursing in interviews and having it quoted isn't going to help her. She abused her post as an officer of the court. She must know that.

With that said, I, too, hopes she keeps talking. I find it wildly entertaining

Is it possible for the U supporters especially season ticket holders or alumni to bring up complaint to DOJ over the encroachment/misconduct of NCAA in Nevin Shapiro bankruptcy case so DOJ can review it to determine whether or not they have a case to start a full-blown investigation against NCAA?

I knew what you meant. I should have specified. You were referring to her bests interests, which I don't care about.

Hand her a megaphone.

Thanks for linking back to this Dan E. I missed this the first time around. So much good info! Hopefully Dapper will be around once the COI delivers the verdict so we can ask questions about the public record of those allegations now that the full picture has been reveal. Excellent thread!

Last I heard some state reps were was looking into it and then everything went quite. My guess is nothing came out of it. Might have been a ploy for political exposure.

The investigation into Maria Perez's conduct during the NCAA investigation is ongoing. The Florida Bar has a defined process that must be adhered to and it takes some time. But, it is getting to the point that a report will be presented to a Grievance Committee to review her actions and recommend dismissal or further action. Eventually, all of the information from the investigation will become public record.
