Beverly and Joseph are your two best defenders on the perimeter, with Miller. Not an accident that once Beverly and Joseph got in, those drives stopped. This is why having Beverly healthy again is so important. He's a long athlete, and he WANTS TO DEFEND. Pack is a guy that doesn't really want to defend, he's a scorer, period.

He plays because he's one of Miami's better shooters, and when he gets hot, can carry an offense. That's why. He also has a knack for hitting the big shot, and in close games, that comes in handy.
