Naim Mustafaa DE from Okie State

Browsed the OKstate boards and nobody seems really sure what happened. There were a couple of "coaches weren't sad to see him go" comments though. They really had high hopes for this kid. Seems he was kind of there version of AQM.

Kamalu is on the roster. Can't speak to why he isn't practicing. Final grades for Wisconsin/Gilbert might be in today. Derosier just got his grades in last week. No idea with Renfrow. AQM got to Miami on a Tuesday. Wasn't on the roster until later in the week. Those guys have to fill out paperwork that has to be looked at and cleared by the school and the NCAA.

Wisconsin's summer semester ends tomorrow, so we should hear oon.

Another GA kid. Staff is digging deep in peach state. I was watching some of one of those classic college fottball games. It was THE U vs Wide Right, 2006 I think. Noticed we still had like 4 or 5 1st round picks on D. Reminded me of the fact that we had no qb for so many years. That is one problem Al certainly is trying to fix. He seems to have no limit on how many qbs we will take. I assume he always wants several choices at that position. I love that. We have won our NCs when we hade the right QB. When we don't, it didn't matter how good the D was. Next year's qb competition will be great. Personally I hope Williams wins it as senior. With Golden, it will mean he desrerves it and will give us a shot at NC with veteran QB. Then battle royal the next year. Give me a series of 2 year starters who win one NC and go NFL and I am fine.

He went through spring football with them so I would assume he did. Suttles did the same at NU but he's not on the roster.

No idea when the process started with this kid. He could've signed last week and got cleared last night or today. Suttles just signed his paper work a couple of days ago.

He enrolled. I don't believe you can practice with the team in the spring if you're not going to class.
 
Now it makes sense the Golden comment...."and more are coming" on the press the other day.....the Don!!

That **** Al, NEVER stops. I love it! He looks high and low for talent. He will not be outworked. This dude will have the roster full of studs in NO TIME!
 
Haha it seems like he realized his mistake in going to Oklahoma for the next four years, and tried to transfer somewhere a litttle nicer, since he was apparently between us and hawaii.

Sounds like a case where the kid made a rash decision to go to OKSt, and later regretted it. Especially since he was an EE. My guess is after he got out there and spent a little time out there he was miserable and decided he hated it and didnt want to go back.

THAT, or there was something else that went on. The "suprise commit" stuff sort made me wonder a bit. Maybe he was made some promises if he signed with OkSt that werent fulfilled. Pure speculation of course. Most likely its the former, just a kid who realized he made a huge mistake in going to a very homogenous school in podunk Oklahoma, with a name like Mustafa.
 
It should be clear to everyone now that Alfred Golden is gearing up for a 2014 National Title run no questions asked. We are pretty **** lucky to have a man like this in charge of our football program. Thanks Hocutt.
