Sick to my stomach. If anyone watched those last two games closely and thought we weren't capable of easily being 2-0, I don't know what to say. This is the first game since Golden's last season where I refuse to chart the defensive plays. Barely wanna talk about the plays that happened.

I only have one wish:

Please stop talking so much **** and exerting so much energy on hype and marketing before anything is proven. Program was in the gutter and needed a boost? I get it. You can still fall short of crossing the line into nonsense.

Just change the order of things now. There's still a chance to be a program of substance. We sure as **** have more talent than anyone else on our schedule. However, the superficial approach is NOT what JJ and the older teams did; I don't care how many times it's referenced and misunderstood. Those teams killed, and then danced.

You have a high standard? Great. Everyone is gonna be held to it? Awesome. Is there a need to talk about it and other details so much before it bears any fruit? Because when the details are missing from special teams, switching out one of the two vulnerable Tackles a game late, 2/5ths of the game to get going, or a 4th and 17 (the world's most predictable late DB boundary blitz), it looks ridiculous, y'all.

Empty shell of a program until we understand that hype and bull**** come after the proof on the field. It's not a big ask. Most of us are still gonna be out there for every game, so we shall see.

Perfect post, this is exactly why these 2 losses sting a little extra, On social media Manny was acting like a top 10 team before playing a game.

Amen. There is a way to promote the program and players without looking like an all hype, no substance outfit. You know what would show fans and people that we want to be the old Miami - come out and say that we're going to put the turnover chain and TD rings away until we feel like the program is meeting the Miami standard. If that means it's in the game against UVA, great, if that means it's not until next year, great, but the substance has to come before the hype. This isn't some names off the jersey thing like Randy did, that was stupid. This is saying that in order to own the "swag" of old Miami, you have to play that way first.

Or stop showing videos of Shaq and Pinckney traveling to the game looking like rock stars because right now, they aren't. I want these guys to have fun, sure, but guess what, when the game was on the line this week, with our "stronger" unit on the field, those guys didn't make a play to change the game. And then after the game, to hear Shaq and Pinckney say stuff like they didn't have the urgency they needed, or that the locker room isn't doom and gloom... to me, just not the right tone. We just lost a Coastal division game, our 2nd game on the road, and I'm angry, so let's hear some of that from our team leaders.

Agreed talk sht after the azzwhippin. I have to ask you a direct question Lu....why is Frierson not playing safety with his speed and range, while we keep playing 20?
I'm guessing they want to use Frierson's wide array of tools at a position that requires multiple skills (and preparing him to take over for Finley), and he's just not getting practice snaps at S. So when Carter went down, you can't just plug a dude with no practice snaps. Last year, I was told Frierson doesn't like the physical aspect as much as they wanted him to, but who knows if that's true. I mean, he's playing Striker. I couldn't tell you more because this is the first year in a while I haven't watched any practices.

I know our Safeties struggled in this game worse than UF and looked almost hesitant. Why? UNC didn't do almost anything new. They ran some exact plays they ran against USCe, as I charted that **** game. UNC QB is a good prospect, but he makes a single read. What the actual **** happened up there for the first 20 minutes? I think everything that happened is "fixable," but the point is to FIX **** before it bites you during an 8PM game against a division opponent.

We have multiple problems at Safety, but consider the defense overall. It starts with not having a disruptive force at the center of it. Forget Gerald Willis. Over the first two games, we're not getting RJ Mcintosh 2016 or 2017 yet. Maybe that was supposed to be Nesta. I don't know. We're going to find out in October. But, we just missed two HUGE opportunities to back up a little of the incredible **** we've spewed for months.

we don’t even have a disruptive force on the outside of it right now which is the bigger issue. Rousseau is providing some interior pressure to go along with ford (who in the 2nd quarter flashed a lot pass rushing wise).

Garvin 108 snaps first 2 games: 0 sacks 0 tfls
Patchan 88 snaps first 2 games: 0 sacks 0 tfls

Wasn’t OP hyping us up in the off season too? Funny it’s ok if he does it but gets mad at manny for doing it.

You’re mad a young team let a couple slip away and your answer is to complain about the marketing? What else r they suppose to do? Answer that one.

Love your post. Would you get rid of the turnover chain and whatever the fvicking monstrosity is they're putting on their fingers?
