Why do I feel like we're playing Northeast football with Southeast kids?

I think this is an extremely accurate statement. I'm a huge Golden fan, but this is the one thing that scares me. You don't fit players to your scheme, you fit your scheme to your players (and strengths) IMO. We have the arguably the fastest and most athletic players and style of play down here as an area (SFLA) in the country and we're implementing a style of play that completely contradicts those strengths. Not only is there an overwhelming amount of JAGs on that list, but I think you're being rather liberal with the word "stud".

Some of those guys look to have the potential to become studs, but for the most part, the guys you labeled studs are just solid or acceptable. Jenkins a stud?

This team does not have elite talent. But it has enough talent that the coaches should be able to get more out of these guys.

Hopefully, with the NCAA off our back, the recruiting will improve and our talent level will rise. But, more importantly, IMO, we need our coaches/coordinators to learn on the job. Because as much as I dig Golden, the job they've done with these kids so far is hot garbage. Its a young coaching staff and it needs to develop and learn, just as much as our players do....
