Don't really identify with being blindly partial to an opinion. But considering we went from the best team ever to not winning the ACC yet, one 10 win season and two bowl wins in two decades, and have fired the last like 5 coaches I align with the mopiest hard mope until positive results magically make my a hard slurper.

There’s at least one dude I know who should be voting hard slurper but hasn’t yet. Probably still busy compiling his latest list why Mario has had it so much harder than every other coach that we demanded results from.

This is me as well. We’re headed in the right direction, but a little slower than I had hoped. I still think we’ll get there. And I see the faults with Mario but still think he is the right guy for the moment in terms of marshaling the resources to keep us on the right side of the AAC/B1G line.

Would Lane have won more games early and be much more exciting to watch? Yes. Would he have gotten the football operation turned around, made the football facility a reality, and gotten our NIL and recruiting to where it is now? Doubt it. Mario does need to win and soon, but I think he will.

FYI, I’m committing to being 1000% obnoxious King Mope

Mario’s approach to offense and QBs will always hold us back and high level recruiting will get stalled out

Either the University forces him to bring in a real OC and gtfo of the way or we keep underperforming, and hang around bad teams and never beat more talented teams

I could not have written my viewpoint any better.

Mario is effectively the tortoise and Lane is the hare. We are betting on the accuracy of the fable.
