I have been grappling with thr same quandary. I think I'd say it this way:

Right now, do you think we're a better team in '24 than in '23?

Better but not good enough = soft mope

Equal = mope

Worse = HARDCORE mope

Soft Mope it is. We definitely improved… our coRch didn’t… but the team did overall.

I’m neutral (besides Manny) in year 1 but turn to mope very quickly come year 2.

Year 3-5= EXTREME MOPE

Rinse and repeat for 20 years.

I was thinking this too. I think I turned on Mario a little faster than Manny. That Middle Tennessee game did a number on me. Even still, going into this season I was hoping I was wrong.
