Anyone know what happened on that day?

Miami 18
BC 7

Don't get me started on how Miami scored 18...

Now, our 2024 Hurricanes are not the 2001 Hurricanes. My point is lighting up the scoreboard week after week is really, really, really hard. There will be misfires. Elite teams have both sides of the ball that can bail out tbe squad when one has an off day.

Go Canes!

I have concerns. Of course 8-0 is great. Did not expect that. But we have work to do. Ward was under pressure all night. The run game was excellent. The pass protection was not great or even good. If not for Ward's ability to escape pressure, we could have lost this game.
This will not hold up down the road against good teams. I live in Clemson land and was hoping for a Clemson - Miami ACC championship game. Now I would be very concerned about playing them.
People are just being realistic.

Every single Miami fan is pleased being 8-0. To suggest that the fans aren’t is just completely stupid. Secondly, maybe some fans are concerned with how we are winning vs playing other top teams in the CFP? Cam was under duress every drop back, no separation from WRs, Shannon Dawson, Kiko in space/in coverage, where was our pass rush for 3 quarters, ST penalties, secondary….these are issues that must be addressed.

Are we glad Miami won? **** yeah. But should we be glad with the overall product? **** no.

Ohio State barely beat Braska by 4, had to ocnvert a late 4th and 1 to take the lead
Texas looked terrible against UGA and struggled against Vandy
UGA lost to a 2 loss Bama team and barely beat a 5 loss Kentucky team by 1
Oregon barely beat FCS Idaho and beat Boise by 3
Penn State beat Bowling Green by 1 score, needed a big comeback to beat 3 loss USC

All those teams have been great programs for the last 3/4 years and are struggling at times this season

Miami has won 10 games once in 20 years and we are 8-0, not sure what expectations are, TrumpyCane thinks we should be happy we are winning many of these games that we would have lost the last 2 decades

Lol right. We got fans acting like we "survived" this game. The game was NEVER in question at any point. This site has really been weird lately. I mean I shouldn't be surprised. We got fans rooting for the gaytes to win games now 🤷🏾‍♂️
This was my biggest takeaway from the game last night. This team needed a dominant showing and did just that. This game was still a blowout, despite not hanging 50 or 60 on FSU.

Virginia Tech, Cal and Louisville all felt like games where the opponent could win. And the narrative surrounding each of those victories is that Miami was bailed out by Cam Ward and/or the officials.

Ward didn't throw a single TD pass and UM still covered a 21.5 point spread. The running game and defense excelled. And for the first time in weeks, the fans weren't on the verge of cardiac arrest watching this team.

We should all enjoy this win and relish in the opposite trajectories of each program, as Cristobal referenced post-game. FSU as a program is totally broken and Norvell is under contract for the long haul. I couldn't be happier.

*****ing about Shannon Dawson this year is one for the books. If you are not happy with our offense this year you will NEVER be happy. Are you hearing what you're saying. This literally our greatest in Miami history in every category. Put the 2001 defense on this team and we are 2019 LSU.

My only concerns are we seem to be regressing as the season goes on and not getting better. Clearly on defense, we’ve literally forgotten how to tackle.

My gripe early was run game and taking pressure off cam. They fixed that and you saw last night why I was so concerned af first about it.

My only other gripe is this team really hasn't had a complete game. Hasn't played complementary football. Were still #6 and 8-0. This team could take a small step forward if they figure it out.

Last night was great. Defense and run game did their part.

I agree with you. I was pretty ****ed last night because we didn’t look crisp and didn’t finish. I’m happy to be 8-0, I see the progress for the program. We have to win this **** conference this year and my worry in watching the game is that Clemson has a blue print to beat us. It’s amazing progress, it’s so much fun to see us run down those loser’s throats. The struggles on the oline in pass pro was my biggest worry and the inability of our receivers to separate worries me.

It’s still game by game and snap by snap for us imho. Gotta take care of business next week, embarrass manny’s b*** ***. Show we can contain a mobile qb.

Let’s not forget we have a blueprint on how to beat them as well. While we’re infinitely more talented on O than last years team.

I’m simply flummoxed by some of the reactions I’m seeing on this board after a game where we stomped our rival to become state champs, covered the spread in the process, and advanced to 8-0.

Why do I feel like we’re NOT 8-0 reading this board. People have the right to be critical of the team, but you’re seeing “the sky is falling” posts from some people and I don’t get it.

We’re not Bama circa 2009-2023. This team is not going to annihilate everyone they play. But we’re one of the few teams left undefeated in the country and posters act like we’re 4-4.

Enjoy the ride — you will regret it if you don’t.

We have an infestation of FAKE fans.....I hope CIS can fumigate soon.

Perfectly said.

I think it’s human nature for fans’ standards to get out of control. Especially when a team starts the season like we did.

In the pre season it was “win 10 games, play in the ACC championship game, maybe get a playoff bid”. It’s morphed into “win every game by 40. Throw for 400 yards and rush for 300 and completely shut down the opponent.” It’s not strange for people’s standards to change but we do need to remember to keep it reasonably realistic.

Personally, I think we’re a really good but not great team. Maybe just outside the top three or four teams. But we do have an elite player at the most important position and that means we can beat anyone. Keep winning. Enjoy having a good team. Maybe the ride ends short of where we all want it to but it’s still fun as **** I haven’t given a **** about a football season this much in years.

it's because they don't know ball and they just wanted a 52-0 type of score

imo this was just as demoralizing, we stopped them from becoming bowl eligible in their EIGHTH game, in front of 130+ recruits, and our heisman winning 1 year rental QB wasn't even the reason we won by three td's and covered the spread

we ran it right down their throats and made it evident we were more physical

after 8 games we're undefeated and still have the best offense in the country statistically in points per game, 3rd down %, yards per play, yards per game, total yards, pass yards, 10+ yard plays, 20+ yard plays

absolute insane to be #1 in all of those metrics
Exactly. We had only 8 drives in the game because we ate the clock. Scored on 7. Never trailed, never felt threatened , never felt like we could lose. That is domination. Domination can come in different forms. It doesn't have to be 50-3

Clemson struggled with FSU more than we did
