He probably could have done well in a lot of STC Programs because of his attitude and work ethic. The point is he did it here (UTough), he made big gains and he just threw up 28 reps (not so easy). Mike James may also have great genetics but the attitude and work ethics will take him much further.

who knows? i wasn't privy to what was going on. i heard the chatter from you guys and even heard Gorlden talking about how the team had to "get stronger". i get what he was saying. but, i still believe that it's about finding the right kids. the kids who have the work ethic. you can recruit 85 lazy mofos and how good will utough do for them?

Look at the kid, look at his body and look at the progression during his tenure. I didn't weigh this kid and I don't keep up-to-date data on the players.

He came in 5'11 close to 205 and he is leaving closer to 225. That is pretty good.

Sure, lazy kids are not a good thing to recruit. Okay. Does that mean that our S&C under Shannon was acceptable? Swasey himself said AG changed the program completely when he came in. And part of S&C is making the kids do the work. So it's not really an excuse to say you recruited lazy kids. The Army takes lazy kids and kicks their ***. So should college corches.

If you think our S&C was okay under Coker and Shannon, then IMO you weren't watching this team at all.
