Finally got around to watching Baron’s tape. If Taylor can teach Baron to finish he’s gonna wind up with 10 sacks and be a day 2 pick. Plays with great extension and his get off looks elite. The most exciting thing about this defense is the versatility up front. 3/4 DEs can all kick inside. Guidry is gonna mix up fronts and cause a ton of confusion.

And we now have some legit athletes at the second level too. They're gonna make life a lot easier for the secondary.

Does 2024 Miami have more talent than 2023 FSU?

If Travis doesn’t break his leg, they 1000% go to the playoffs. And that’s a 4 team playoff, not 12 like this year.

I think this team is as talented as FSU was last year. So why can’t the ceiling be the roof? Coach with some competence and let your QB cook. Your DL has 47 combined career sacks, more than anyone in the nation. You got 3 of the 10 best receivers in the ACC. You got a Top 5 national back. You got 5 stars on both lines. Go get it the **** done.

Far more talented ON PAPER than 2023 poo. Not trying to disparage what they did. But it was a lot of real basic football being played with them.

You’re gonna get some laundry bros running in here to say they struggled with Boston College,
Etc. Who cares? They won.

The greatest college football team ever assembled struggled to beat Boston College. They had a really tight game against an average VT team. It happens. That’s literally football. You don’t play your best ball 12 times a year. But do you win or not? They won. With, imo, a roster pretty **** close to what we got now. So why do our coaches get a pass if they lose games? They shouldn’t. This gotta be at least 10 wins periodt. AT LEAST.

We're close. Offense is already "there". Defense is missing a top DT and one or two top DBs to be dominant. If/when we lose games, I expect it will be due to the defense like what happened to us vs. UL, and Rutgers last season (and GT that last series). But we're so much better on offense that taken together, with some luck, we could make a run.

I knew someone would object to that lol. But for all that we failed to take a knee, and the refs got the "fumble" call wrong, we were still ahead 3 and just needed to stop them. It was 100% ALSO a failure of defense as we didn't get to the QB, and Couch and Kam mistimed jumping the routes. Those last 2 minutes were a complete disaster across the board.
