This is awesome. I really liked the Gophers D this year. I didn’t think he was leaving so soon after that raise but I was aware of what a hot commodity he was. The Gophers definitely swarmed the ball well and tackled well this year. Their DB’s were better positioned in comparison to Miami. More simple and no confusion prior to the snaps. It was underrated talent-wise with the exception of Perich.

I always judge a good defense on how well they gang tackle. Routinely the first guy doesn’t miss the tackle. He may not bring him down immediately but within seconds 4-6 hats have swarmed him. Every game they played that way.
