Is the big knock that he was only 1 year coordinating at Minnesota?

I seem to recall another coordinator we hired with only 1 year of Minnesota under his belt.

That coordinator was Mr. Jedd Fisch.

Look, I know nothing about this guy, but on paper Josh Gattis and Kevin Steele looked better than Jedd Fisch and Corey Hetherman.

It's nothing personal, but a lot of people are not lookng at his resume.

Multiple years as a DC, although only the 1 year at Minnesota IN POWER FOUR.

DC at Maine, James Madison, and Minnesota. And it was widely reported that he was the "DC in waiting" at Rutgers for when Joe Harasymiak moved on to a head coaching job (which took a year longer than expected).

Please bring Monroe for the sake of cohesion. This guy seems young enough that he’d probably respect JT. CANNOT have another year of our coaching staff hating each other
Y’all keep talking about cohesion when every other team can have staffs full of guys with no ties and still be successful why can’t grown áss men making millions here not do there job? The 2 teams in the nc with top defenses their DC made no hires

We ran off Blake Baker and how he’s one of the best DCs in football
Some of you guys and your revisionist histories. Same dude that gave up 600 yards rushing to UNC?

Even if Blake wasn’t fired, he would’ve been gone when the coaching change happened.

Funny today is the day some here are being all high and mighty and talking down to the fan base because of what’s happened in the past.

Criticisms on some is justified but why are we doing this today? It’s our championship time of year.

There will be plenty of time during the regular season to espouse the talking down to the fan base in the regular season.

I'm not saying you're wrong but I will not hold anyone accountable for anything working under Manny.... He handcuffed everyone ... Manny only did what Manny wanted... Everyone else was just along for the ride...

Experience isnt always the equator to successes. Kevin Steele was here in 2022 and that defense really wasn’t great. Players, staff, team (how’s the offense) etc probably matter more.

The one factor I love is how much he improved that Minnesota defense considering the following:
1. Not the greatest roster
2. In a tough conference and played good opponents
3. Their offense was doo doo.

It may not work here, it may. But the small sample size at Minny is very encouraging.
