He’s Harasymiak’s guy when he was at Maine. Promoted him to DC at Maine, brought him to Rutgers to be LB coach when JMU was still fcs winning national championships under cignetti.

Harasymiak left Maine to be safety coach at Minnesota hence the connection to Fleck. Referred him over there.

If Harasymiak wasn’t going to UMass he would have been a great hire as well. Seen him at a clinic spend an hour just on tackling. Good teaching progression, good dude.

If you know anything about Fitchburg state football, the fact he went 21-11 as starting qb there is more impressive then any of his defensive coordinator stats lol

Has experience working with DE’s as well, so should be able to get the whole front 7 on the same page. FCS coach of the year at JMU, only produced the 5th best Defense in America in his lone year to date at Minnesota. Massive talent deficiency up there as well call can presume, and yet his unit was very good in coverage (above a 85 on PFF). Relatively young (44) and hungry.
