All I said when we fired Guidry is give me a DC who walks around constantly ****ed off. Zero sunshine. An old school coach who won’t put up with bull**** and will get these guys playing disciplined ball. Basically give me 2000 Greg Schiano.

Has experience working with DE’s as well, so should be able to get the whole front 7 on the same page. FCS coach of the year at JMU, only produced the 5th best Defense in America in his lone year to date at Minnesota. Massive talent deficiency up there as well call can presume, and yet his unit was very good in coverage (above a 85 on PFF). Relatively young (44) and hungry.

If Guidry was gone you knew Jackson was gone too. The secondary was god awful and he had no connection to Mario. I said weeks ago I’d be shocked if Taylor left and there was a chance Nicholson returned . The rest were likely gone.

True but you know I’ve mopes every offseason about holes in the roster, moped last offseason about DBs etc.

This year it feels like we’re making sure EVERY part of the team is solid, no part of the team will single handedly lose us games.

We just need a WR1. But I gotta give credit, I think Miami is building the right way this offseason even more than last year
