You're changing your tune. We attacked needs in the portal too.

The big positive for FSU is they took Travis as a flyer at QB, he was awful, but they took time, and he has been in the same offense for 4 years now. He finally in 2022 played well.

If he gets injured they are done.

That's the big reason they are so good offensively. Coleman was the Cherry on top this off-season.

But make no mistake, Travis makes the whole thing go.

My tune has never changed or even wavered. We suck at the portal idc about a top 7 ranking. The misses outweigh the hits. The hits aren't difference makers. That is the issue, and it has been the issue. We could have done better at mutiple positions we failed to do so and we have a sideline littered with portal additions.

Norvell hit on guys that are going to be top draft picks. Benson, Coleman, Wilson, Verse are all going within the top 2 rounds. Travis plays in an offensive system suited to his strengths (cough cough Mario), and then the other acquisitions like Fiske, Fentrell Cypress, Jaheim Bell, Jeremiah Beyers, Gilber Edmond, Darrell Jackson etc. compliment their best players.

Where are our top 2 round acquisitions? Nine of the 15 Seminoles who received at least honorable mention all-ACC accolades last fall were Norvell transfers. Doesn’t even include Travis since he came under Taggart. Who are we going to have? A kicker? Two interior OL? Kiko maybe?

It’s not even remotely close. So far whiffed on (or haven’t impacted the team like we hoped/were hyped up on evals) on Terry Roberts, Moultrie, Caleb Johnson, Thomas Gore, Lichtenstein, Davonte Brown, Harrell, Ladson, Denis, Sagapolu, etc.

No impact from Richard, Campbell, Mesidor can’t stay healthy, McCormack sucks, Agude was bleh, Parrish is average, Allen is decent but not elite, Jaden Davis gets torched when he covers real WRs, etc.

Hardly any real difference makers. I mean guys, that’s a lot of whiffs/players with no real instant-impact. And people think we’re going to dominate the portal in ‘24 lol.

Our best acquisitions are DPJ, two interior OL, Kiko and I guess Cloyd. That’s not winning you 9 or 10 games.

Colbie was not a portal addition. This sounds similar to what I said last year when CIS tried to the create narritive it wasn't sustainable. Now the new stupid **** being funneled in is avoid elite high school QBs and just use the portal. Win games and recruiting becomes easier. Sign elite portal players and win games because of those players. It's not rocket science.

Like yall arent paying attention?...the portal is THERE Every year(they play it better than us)...by the time dude leaves they have already stockpiled their qb room, and signed some big name skill position players to develop. ATM - complete from 3 for TD
Temple- incomplete from 13
Clemson - complete from 11 for TD
Clemson - complete from 6 for 1st down in OT
