Miami #9 in Second CFP Ranking

Lashlee was right to be ****ed. If you compare SMU next to teams like Tenn and Texas, their resume is better. Their 1 loss is @ #6 BYU by 3. Won @ Louisville who is #19. Also won @Duke (I know, but they’re a 3 loss team), and Pitt at home.

Texas got dog walked at home by an unimpressive UGA team and their next biggest game is a 3 point win @ Vandy.

Tennessee beat an unimpressive Bama team, went to OT (should have lost) with a bad UF team, and lost to a bad Arkansas team.

Penn State’s best win is against a 3 loss Illinois.

Lot of conference bias going on when you actually look at these teams and their results.

I will take the playoff spot everyday, BUT
SMU should actually be more ****ed they aren't ahead of Miami. Undefeated in conference while Miami has one loss in conference. Both have one loss overall, theirs is to undefeated BYU on the road by 3 and Miami's is to unranked GT by 5.

But like I said, I'll take the playoff spot any day of the week. Boo f'in who SMU.

They lost to BYU at home but they definitely have a beef to not be in the Top 12.

Your team is 9-1 and ranked #9 in the country with a Heisman Trophy Finalist (at worst) quarterback and needs no help from anyone else to make the college football playoff.

You’re not a ******* victim.
I was mostly joking, but you're ignoring the past 20 years which explains why the fans are the way they are.

You’re right, I got it wrong above. I thought they went to BYU for some reason.

I personally think Miami and SMU should be above other 1 loss teams PSU, UT (both), and ND. ND has better wins than the others, but that loss shouldn’t get forgiven because they’re ND.

Listen, fan however how you want. I’ll just never, ever understand it. I just watched the Red Sox 2004 documentary the other day. Those poor ***** waited 84 years while their biggest rival won about a billion rings. Then they went down 3-0 in a series, and yeah of course they’re down but they packed the place out the next night, going crazy, camping out in front of the ballpark, etc. And they never stopped supporting. Are we at least allowed to wait until the season is actually over before we slump our shoulders and pretend that it is?

Trust me, none of these kids know who the **** Al Golden is. None of them lost 48–0 to Virginia. They don’t care how much you or I have suffered the past 20 years. That poster says “most of our fans have lost faith”. Man, if that’s true, yall really gotta find something better to do with your time. This **** can’t be productive for you in any way.

Not technically, but IF (BIG ******* IF) we keep winning then our playoff games would likely be Peach Bowl (Atlanta), Orange Bowl (Miami), and National Championship (Atlanta).
Not necessarily. If we are the 4 seed and everyone wins out we’d likely play Oregon in the closest bowl to them as number one seed which would be the cotton bowl. Proximity goes to the higher seed, except in the quarterfinals where past bowl tie ins count first, then proximity hence peach for ACC, since this year orange bowl is a semifinal

Example eleventy billion on why we don’t deserve a single ******* nice thing.
From the group texts and most of the moper messages on the board I meant by "needing" a morale boost.

I'm disappointed in a loss, but I'm disappointed in any loss, any year, even when expected. This has been a fun ride thus far and games are played on the field. We shot ourselves in the foot vs GTech. I'm lookin forward to watching our offense come out humming again. Some of the **** we saw vs GTech was uncharacteristic of the offense we've watched season long.

convinced our "fans" don't watch any other college football outside of praying for the downfall of UM. so many top teams have a "bad" loss

did we sh*t the bed agaisnt GT? yes, badly but everything is in front of us and if we play our best we can beat anyone in the country

Almost like somebody tried to tell you guys the last 3 days that nobody thinks Miami plays a garbage schedule more than Miami fans.

Get off twitter. Stop listening to your fsu neighbor. The committee is telling you a story.

That being said, of course none of this matters. Just win the league.

To lose acc championship game after being in league for what 20 years and never won it to a team in first year with former cane players and coaches.. Mannnnnn
If they lose that game I am curious if the "We don't have enough talent" boyz are gonna stand in the paint with that take re: losing to a team that was G5 last year and is playing a bunch of Canes backups.

These next two games will be huge for the morale of the fanbase not that it matters, but most fans have lost faith. Let's go canes.
