Miami -23 vs. Wake

Why are you taking Wake and the under ? I am thinking the exact opposite !

+ Slow mesh option (Miami can’t set the edge. It’s been like that for 2yrs now)
+ Wake will control the clock and limit Miami’s possessions this game.
+ Miami is coming off a bye. It’s November. The trend is not in your favor.
+ Scoring in CFB tends to slow down as the calendar approaches December. Teams are usually pretty beat up by now.

All of it points to Miami winning, but I don’t see a 21+ point win.

That’s why I said take Wake (plus the points) and the under.

Miami is 7-3 ATS this year.

We covered 3+ touchdown spread against a much better Duke team.

Duke couldn’t commit to salting away the clock because their running game is garbage.

Wake can eat the clock like GT

as others have pointed out, you're wrong about duke

and are you complaining about how much we're covering the spread by? who cares if it's "not by much", 7-3 ATS so far this year (VT, Cal, GT are the losses) is excellent and better than most teams can say
Who the **** is complaining:LOL:? Pretty sure it is you.

I forgot we woke up at the end of the Duke game and ended up covering....kind of the same with FSU.

The point being is YOU or whoever the **** it was was acting like we cover all the time...simply not true.

Miami scores 40 with their eyes closed this week.

23.5 is a touch high for me, though. Wouldn't be shocked to see that creep closer to 21 by kickoff. I see a 45-27 type game.

BTW, betting the under in a Miami game, you gotta be out of your **** mind. I think the under has cashed twice all season. Best of luck if you're playing that one, I don't have nearly the balls for that.

As long as our offense regains its regular efficiency, we should be able to cover. We would have easily defeated GT regardless of their running game had we been able to convert third downs and score in the red zone at our regular rate.

Just like I’m not expecting our defense to miraculously get great after 10 games, I’m not expecting our offense, which has been freakishly efficient for nine games to fall apart after one off afternoon.

FSU scored a garbage time touchdown against our reserves to make the score look closer. The game was long over and the spread covered before that

On offense, Wake is 108 in yards per rush, 111 in QB sacked %, and 80 in yards per pass attempt. Can’t run, can’t protect the QB, and aren’t explosive in the passing game.

On defense, they are 119 in sack %, 81 in opponent yards per rush allowed, 69 (nice) in yards per pass attempt allowed, their opponent completion % is 133 at over 70%!!!

I’ve watched us struggle and well aware of why everyone would be skeptical. It’s a high spread but it should be covered.

Clemson beat them by 35 and Ole Miss beat them by 34 early in the year but their last 4 games are 2 wins by 3, a loss by 10, and a loss by 7. They could be improving.

I think it’s an easy cover if Bachmeier is out.

We are 7-3 against the spread pretty good if you ask me lol.. if you expected every game Miami played this year to end in 20+ point blowouts idk what to tell ya.

GT forced Ward to be disciplined and he couldn’t do it. He can do it in spurts, but he’s more often than not looking deep down field.

GT was a culmination of the book the ACC was writing on Miami all season.

That’s going to be hard to break out of after one bye week.

Wake is one of, if not the worst pass defense in the nation. Maybe there’s a cheat code against us where terrible defenses can shut us down. Maybe Cam misses fewer easy completions than he did against Georgia Tech. I don’t think it’s quite as simple as “play this coverage and Miami won’t score against you”. I fully expect them to over defend the intermediate/deep passing game. I also expect Dawson/Ward to be able to counter it.

I also expect them to try to slow the game to a crawl but limiting our possessions means you’re also limiting your own. Without their starting quarterback this game could be very FSU like. It’s all about how efficient we are on offense.

I don’t think wake has the talent coaching or discipline that gt had on defense. I think we score. Plus we’re at home and it’s senior day. Weather should be great. I think we get back to scoring a lot. They will also score but they have a backup qb so we will see
