We disagreed on a couple takes but I always thought of you as a straight shooter and appreciated the insight.

General thoughts on the new staff (whats been announced so far)? You have any prior relationship with them and if not, have they been more receptive to outside help than the last group? Im big on utilizing the full network of resources available in any situation. Felt like Mannys group were way too closed off and uninterested in outside opinions or support.
 
Chase Smith is the only dude who has played a down for us that has the potential to play LB in the league. And he's still very much unproven. We are ridiculously thin at the position.

Bissainthe is going to play a lot as a freshman because he will need to.

Keontra Smith is a good football player, but he's a linebacker due to necessity. He's not playing LB in the league.

Maybe not to start the season but by the end of the year, Smith and Bisanthe will be the starters at ILB.

Totally agree, and I won't be surprised if it's day 1.

I know b-mac and someone who is rumored to be a possibility at OC but Ive never had the pleasure of meeting coach Mario or Mirabel and the rest. I know coach smith too because my brother was a starting lb at la tech the last 3 or so years he’s my boy. I think b-mac is a superstar hire. He’ll do work in South Florida. I think you’ll see a huge leap in the 3 amigos but in particular B.Smith. This group so far will take DM’s from anyone if it means helping the program. There are bunch of houston kids I’ll be sending film on from the 7 on 7 squads my dad helps with. I can text b-mac and if the rumored oc is true I can call him directly he’s actually my friend. So i think I’ll be pretty successful in getting some houston talent noticed here

I like brooks but i never understood the hype with him, he was good in a few games and i guess everybody just has those memories replaying in their brain...but i dont blame him, he's not an ilb he's a edge rusher only god knows why they recruited players like him and moved them somewhere else

I also won't be surprised if Chris Graves starts at CB day 1. We need a portal start in my opinion, and if we don't land one, it's gotta be Graves.

Because it’s just common sense and literally happens every time there’s a change at every school
