May the Cristobal purge begin....

He played on the edge his entire high school career. Most of these guys on the LB depth chart were edge players yet we still recruited them. Of course they can’t hit a hole or read a key.
I’m not holding it against him but I am against everybody else. The kid is out of his element and tbh 3 years into college it’s kinda hard to catch up

Anyone who’s ever managed people after a weak pushover knows the reaction to actual authority can be profound. Egos will be hurt when you let them know they haven’t been cutting it. They settled into a comfort zone of being their own boss. Those are the exact type that need to get weeded out to create a new culture of busting ***.
Why or how ppl think folks are getting "weeded out" when we havent had 1 practice or work out. The weeding out process typically happens after spring and you have that exit interview with your coach. That sh*t b like D DAY when you know you havent been cutting it

I never liked the Flagg take but I always said no matter how much I rip a dude they are more of a cane than I will ever be. I mean they played for the team I didn't so. But that is the coaches fault....we shouldn't as message board fans have better evals than the coaches. U know the program is in bad shape when me a couch fan has better evals than the HC. That's what made me fuqin angry and the fans made me angry cause they said he was great. So most of my anger went on those bafoons arguing about this topic that he wasn't a UM caliber linebacker.
Manny was a superfan who wanted to be friends with kids. hes like the waterway who got coach for a day. he didnt know talent.

Mario’s not going to run off anyone, due to a perceived lack of athletic ability. He’s all about culture, commitment and excellence. The ones that leave, will do so on their own. They’ll leave because they’re not interested in buying into his philosophy or putting in the work required to compete. He would fight to keep the Jimmy Murphy’s. I wouldn’t make a transfers list based solely on what you saw between the lines. It’s a lot more about the locker room and how they choose to spend their time away from campus. The new staff will also help those that choose to leave find a home and continue their educations. This isn’t the evil empire. Mario is the guy you want coaching your kid. Let’s not sell him short. He’s taking his time to learn about each player, get to know them and address all concerns from both his and their sides. Exactly what you would want from your head coach. He’s tactical and patient. Faith
He isn’t living in an ivory tower

Well said... additionally Mario being a former player coach, understands what it takes. This was something Manuel could never grasp and therefore had to resort to gimmickry and BFF ing players to get across to them

The CIS talent evaluations have already commenced.

I wouldn’t say weeded out per se but Nesta knew the deal. When I said “ starters and key guys will be leaving , not just bench guys “ he was one of the guys. I’ll just leave it at that.

we all know the roster needs a deep cleanse. No problem naming which kids, but don't kick them in the *** on the way out the door.
No it doesn't lol. We just need to get the most out of what we got. Flashback to the turnover from Golden to Manny. Manny was forced to play all freshman LB's because the returning LB's had legal issues for the most part. Outside of that, everyone performed much better under Manny than they did with Golden because they were comfortable and had something to prove. There's probably some JAG's under Diaz that would be much better with more physical practice, and a scheme that doesn't put them in a position to do something they aren't comfortable with.

When you say "knew the deal"... does that mean someone straight up told him that his starting spot wasn't guaranteed or something? Just curious about how exactly this kind of message gets communicated. I get it if you can't get into details.

There’s going to be a real culture change and it 100 % needs to happen and it will happen. Some now and even more after spring.

It’s very normal for this to happen when a new coach comes in. This roster needs a douching.

how? by words.

mario said no more slogans, no more BS, it is all about the work which starts at 430am. if you aren't an earlier riser or a hard worker, you might want to go elsewhere.
