Max Johnson On Campus

You were the leader of the “numbers” on Sitkowski. You prolly aren’t wrong here either. Be wise and listen to this man...
Has anyone actually watched a full game of this kid? I have and his o-line is crap...especially with primarily running an under the center offense. Dude has what you want in the physical traits area....already pretty advanced in the footwork and mechanics department when operating at his position....he comes from an pro style offense with lots of run action pass plays and good amount of rolling out of the pocket. Has good athleticism for a qb and will stand in the pocket and get punished while trying to get the ball out on time. Pretty good for a rising junior imho....just the completion percentage turns ah lot of people off....but as he continues to develop, that will improve significantly with better line play i hope....with this guy, Richt wont be mulling over footwork and mechanics and teaching fundamental pocket skills needed cuz he will have been taught and trained to death before he arrives on any campus....so if the completion percentage determines whether he has the goods....well i will trust Mark on this one.....he is a take.....

You all know who dad is don't you. Of course he was not good enough to start at fsu. In Georgia Max rank equally in the top three and all are considered tops in the nation by those in the know. Kirby would not be dropping by his practices if he wasn't interested.

Same excuses everyone made for Pickowski. Johnson still has two more years, but I don’t care about “physical tools” if a QB can’t be accurate. He needs to improve tremendously in that regard, or he’s useless.

Right...i agree with that...but how many qbs come out every year with above average completion percentage and cant play? Where does he have to be to considered good? 60% 62% 65%?

Griese played a decade in the NFL and made a ProBowl. I'm no fan of Simms but even he hung around the NFL for like 5 years too.
Im sorry. I understand ur point but none of that changed my opinion in the slightest. The pro bowl is a popularity contest that most people in the league have zero desire to actually play in hence the 5000 alternates that get thrown into it. Far as the longevity goes ive heard scouts talk about one of them before & its not just my opinion that without the names of their fathers neither of them plays a snap in this league.

Maybe not, but I believe his dad is the only QB from UM, FSU, and UF to start and win a superbowl.
