Agreed. And if he’s on the NFL draft radar as some have said then it would seem unlikely he’d risk riding the pine. To your other point about inexperience, we play ND week 1 and need someone with good P4 experience and proven production. That’s why I liked Mendoza and hope the staff is waiting on something else we just don’t know about.If he's willing to come in and compete for a starting job in the spring, knowing full well we're trying to recruit over him I'd pursue him. Similar to Poff.
We currently have 2 College starts in the QB room.
If he wants a guarantee that he's the starter then he's not the guy.
