I haven’t looked a lot into either. Based on what I have read by scouts and the people I follow for this stuff in twitter I would rank them close. Surface level evaluation I would say Gronowski is a better runner with better intangibles. Mensah a better pure arm talent.

Here’s my take and It isn’t what you’re going to want but it’s the truth.

This Offense is going to have to run the ball for 200 yards a game. No problem! We’re built for it. It was always going to be that way because Cam, Will Howard, and Dillon Gabriel aren’t and weren’t going to be on the transfer market. That being said, if this Gronowski kid and hit on intermediate throws and make the right decisions then we’ll stay on this improvement track that we’re on BUT what an absolute failure that we have to take a bit of a risk on a FCS kid with a draft grade instead of securing Mendoza or even Preston Stone knowing you don’t need to ask them to be Cam.

Well Mensah played FBS, Gronowski FCS. Gronowski's stats aren't very impressive for FCS imo.

Cam Ward's 47 tds in his last year in FCS more than doubled Gronowski's 23 this year.
