Mario defenders - Let’s hears those excuses

The entire coaching staph is on notice that they have **** the bed so far. All of them (even that goofy fvck with the weird mustache). We didn't expect a 'ship this year, but the coaching is atrocious and the players are playing worse than their talent level.

-Bob Stoops
Took over a 5-6 OU program. Went 7-5 yr 1, 13-0 yr 2

Then you have guys like Gary Patterson, or Dave Aranda that took over a winning program of 10+ wins & looked like laughing stocks in yr 1 (Patterson 6-6 / Aranda 2-7), but then looked like home run hires in yr 2 (Patterson 10-2 / Aranda 12-2).

Then you have guys like Dabo, & sorry Panthers fans, Rhule who took 3 yrs to build their programs into contenders. From Bobby Bowden, Bear Bryant, Steve Spurrier, Joe Pa…u can do down the list & see all of these great coaches struggle yr 1 and turn it on by yr 2, NO LATER than yr 3.

Be mad at the MTSU loss; but stop the overreaction after game 4 of a new regime.

Mario doesn't have a short track record. He's been coaching for years and is an unimaginative .500 record blowhard with no understanding of analytics.
Dumb metric when a substantial percentage of that comes from him taking over a literally winless team at FIU that had never had a winning season. Coached them up to be conference champs which has never been close to repeated there.

The 62-60 mentally inefficient crowd always fail to mention he went 35-13 as a P5 HC, they just want to paint the picture he’s a terrible HC and no better than his predecessor.

Children’s tantrums normally tire out over time.

FIU Football. Established in 2002. HC records there:

-Don Strock: 15-41
-Mario Cristobal: 27-47
-Ron Turner: 10-30
-Butch Davis: 24-32
-Mike McIntyre: 1-2

FIU’a combined record is 77-152 since they became a CFB program, playa. And even with that cluster fck of a program established in the annals of CFB history, Mario is still the most successful coach they’ve had, being that he’s the only coach to bring a conference title there & their first bowl victory. But sure, let’s include his tenure at FIU where literally no coach have done well. Lol

Facts. This is gunna come tho. Their was a good contingent of the board who wanted Lane..this loss is a “see why” moment. As though his USC tenure didn’t happen. It’s year 1 overreactions come With the territory. I’m convinced the investment will payoff. Did that loss suck, yes. Inexcusable, yes. But look at what you laid out..this **** happens when rebuilding a culture. There’s some guys on this roster who will be weeded out

Mario does need to get his own recruits to be fairly judged. We all know he's not a good GameDay coach, the hope is he will bring in so much talent that it will outweigh his bad coaching
It's not "coaching" when it comes to Mario - It's CORCHING!!

Did any of those guys have nil, transfer portal, all the resources they need top to bottom, etc.

I understand this argument that coaches fail or are mediocre in year 1 but the excuses for doing so in 2022 are starting to grow thin given what is mentioned above. A roster can be completely turned over in one off-season with the portal. The days of saying this takes time are over. Coaches have 2 years max now to show improvement. I don’t see how we’re improved next year unless there’s a wake up call up top.

Rellyrell, I have to respectfully disagree with you 1000000000%. Mario is a seasoned coach, he is paid millions of dollars, he hired experienced coordinators, and your statistics MEAN NOTHING AT ALL. This is an abomination right now. The Bethume Cookman game was not impressive, The southern Miss game was a joke because we played 1/2 game, the Texas A&M is game we should have won but head coach played to LOSE and that's what happened, and the last game was the worse EVER since I've been involved with the Hurricanes dating back to 1983. Our offense looks like a throwback in the 1930's which is slow, pathetic, uninspiring, and not suited for today's game. Mario is FULLY RESPONSIBLE for this and the fact our players did not take MTSU serious is an indictment on him for being ill prepared. STOP MAKING EXCUSES.

Lol. 2 yrs? Besides Willie Taggart, can you name a coach that’s been given 2 yrs?

Not really sure why ppl think that due to NIL, all of a sudden yr 1 is going to fix things, b/c NIL is being more geared towards either

a) HS Seniors. And if think a class full of true freshmen in CFB is going to change ur fortunes in yr 1, I have prime real estate in Jonestown, right now for sale.

b) Players already on ur roster. So if ur roster sucks……

Transfer Portal can definitely work out. Let’s see, a coach in the era of NIL, transfer portal who sucked yr 1. Hmmmm; Oh, yeah…Mel Tucker!

U guys r killing me, smalls. The examples I gave WERE ALL TWO YEARS. Is there an anomaly here in my backyard that shows you “can” be successful in yr 1? Yes; Lincoln Riley is showing that; but, Lincoln Riley literally brought over his own 5 star QB, & 2 of his 4 star WRs that were already familiar w/ his playbook & language, along w/ the #1 portal player in Jordan Addison. What players did Mario bring w/ him?

That’s y it’s called an anomaly, vs. the norm. The overwhelming history of CFB, DESPITE era & resources shows the most successful coaches we know took 2-3 yrs, TOPS, to turn things around, inheriting a cluster fck. That includes Mario himself. (And let’s stop acting like Miami’s resources are on the same level of big state schools).

Again, can we at least wait til next season, or better yet, how about allowing this season to finish up before running the man out?

Guys were changing in closets when he was there. It was about as bad and broke of a program as there ever was. The only success that school ever had was on his watch. Anyone judging him on his time there is ignorant of the facts or trolling. If you want to rail on him about Utah, his offenses / qb‘s or Saturday feel free but FIU is just silly.

In my opinion all these post are shameful, I understood free speech .

This is just the start 3 games into the season with a team decimated with WEAK playing DIVAS .

This man has not been given a chance and people are feeding all ready .

Mario is our LAST and only HOPE , people soon the word will be out in CFB that Miami is the GREATEST get RICH scheme in sports.

Come here and BAG get a 3-4 year deal and HOPE Miami FIRES you then go to a nice assistant coaching job get paid there and continue to get BAG from Miami.

**** YEAH A DEAL OF A LIFETIME .

Mario is the man PERIOD, it is true we eat our own young and soon CFB will see it and kill to get paid and fired in ONE YEAR.

We’ll get just what we’re about to get .

We got a good man in Coach Mario and we don’t even know it SAD

GOCANES

Cmon now. My boy Rell don’t need me to come to defense but bro what?? NIL, transfer portal etc has nothing to do with it and if you think coaches should only have a max 2 years..we’ll for one it’s only been 3 games here..that said that’s unreasonable lol..it’s been 3 **** games man…and this **** does take time. We’re seeing that play out all over the place still in this era
