Manny Navarro's interview with TVD

Him doing that is clearly not good FOR US. In fact I'd say him doing what he did - waiting until April (after we hired our OC who you are saying is one of the reasons he stayed) while the rest of the QBs transfer in January, with seemingly the main purpose to get more money, is worse than a QB who transfers to get to that better program/situation and take that next step. Like If TVD transfered to Bama, I really wouldn't blame him. It'd almost certainly have been a good move for him personally. The problem is he didn't, and he is supposed to be a leader of this team. The problem isn't transfering. The problem FOR US is him wanting to transfer when he is our starting QB. This really isn't complicated.
The timing was awful. But if Saban came in and offered ten times what he was making at Miami, I wouldn't be surprised if TVD was considering it.

Bless this Kid. Let him find a way to miraculously maximize his potential in this offense.

With all this being said, when are we going to stop crowning kids after a few meaningless games / plays against often uninspired opponents.

See Kaaya, Wright, Morris ( beat the Gaytes at least ), Freeman, Marve, Harris ( gutted out a career here ), Costa, Kelly ( Kenny) etc…

imo TVD got lucky he didn't throw a lot more interceptions last year. His stock is way down and I really hope he learned something from last year. You don't win football games by playing golf. He needs to step up bigtime and he better know his guys ******* phone numbers by now.

Everyone knows that big time players, make big time plays…. while golfing… 😎

Except Saban didn’t realize he was dealing with his own **** show at QB until late Spring, which is when they tampered. The guy has landed a lot of QBs in the league and wins championships. It’s reallllly hard to be mad at TVD for listening if you ask me.

I’m actually more concerned about his wallowing and his excuses and his lack of resilience on the field. And despite all that I am ecstatic he’s our guy. Because there are so few good QBs out there and Mario let the room go to ****.

I agree with a lot of this. It is cumulative with TVD for many posters. It’s not one game or one throw or one interview.

It’s business. And he needs to step up and win football games.

I want him to ball out, save Mario’s ***, and be successful enough to get a great draft slot and Miami wins the 9 games we should expect to win…

TVD is best option we have to start the season, obviously.

He could easily re-tear that shoulder this season; dunno why no one is acknowledging the likelihood of that.

Emory is completely unknown and probably best option after, given what we've seen from Brown.

Could all 3 have "made the leap" in the offseason, lol?

I am with DTP on his analysis vis a vis the job analogy - don't blame him for the flirt, but also hold it against him too, based on all the other chatter that my impressionable, emotional old mind absorbs. I admit it.

Those two stances are not mutually exclusive.

TVD can have a good to great year and is also just as likely to get wrecked and be out at a most inopportune time, or prove to be mids as some seem to suggest. None of these scenarios will surprise me..

I have no idea if Dawson's system and the updated Oline are gonna be the difference makers that let TVD be best version of himself. Sure hope so, but not counting on ****.

Imagine you've got a job you love. You're really good at it and you get along pretty well with your co-workers. A new company buys out your old boss and the new boss brings in his own management team. Ok, no problem, right? The new boss has a really good reputation and says all the right things but the manager he puts in charge of your position is another story. Not only is the manager inept at his job, he's also a prick to deal with. The guy takes a really productive sector of the business and changes the way everyone does everything. So now not only is production way down, but morale is in the toilet too because nobody can stand that guy. Your coworkers look to you to provide some positivity but even you can't stand working under this ***-clown anymore. So naturally, you do what anyone who's not a moron does and you start to check the want ads. You get your resume in order and sign up on Indeed or some other job site. After a year of almost running your company out of business, the boss finally fires the management that had no business being there in the first place. The boss says "don't go man, we're going to bring in someone better." Do you just assume he's going to hire the right man for the job now, or do you wait to see who he's hiring and before you take your resume back off the internet?
One of the best posts that I have read in years............guys it's all there........get over your feelings, and pray that TVD stays healthy and we kick some ***. With the OL beefed up and the D filling holes and improving, we have a **** of a better chance to show something this season than at any time in years....

We have all confirmed we need TVD to have a solid year but more importantly we need Dawson, WRs, and that revamped O-line to impress for him to be successful and things should fall into place for him. What was the issue about him not having the Wr’s numbers? They should be running routes and throwing the ball at least twice a week. Romberg always talked about players accountability on great teams. They were working out every other day or at least watching film without coaching intervention. They punisher each other for not showing up.

Gattis said that when he got here about 1 WR. Think about it for a sec my friend. The QBs and WRs out of season are working out 5-6 days a week, which includes both strength/conditioning and on field work without coaches. I understand they throw as a group at least 2-3 days a week plus individual seasons. Reports are that TVD is in the facility 6+ hours a day. WRs who are all in would be there as well. This year the WRs are all in. This is just BS narrative for fans that don't like TVD to try and use to bash him. Why the fk would Mario want him as his QB if all this BS was true?

Got it.. everybody's fault but TVD.

I believe TVD should definitely shoulder some blame for last year. ;)

Gattis was terrible, but TVD came in a little heavier than he should have last year and really didn't work equally with all his WR's. Relied too much on X and didn't put in the extra work with the others. When injuries started pilling up on the Oline and X went down TVD's season and ours went down the *******. If he was in a little better shape he would have been able to avoid pressure at a more consistent rate. I'm still slightly concerned with his health especially considering it's a shoulder injury that he didn't go ahead and get fixed. Those can be lingering at times. We're a little deeper at Oline this year and Dawson's offense is made for the QB to get the ball out faster so hopefully he'll make it through the year.

Not only has he taken blame , he’s taken the second most amount of blame behind Gattis. I mean did you read the board during the season? It was so bad people were blaming him for misses that was obviously not on him, it was the route depth. It was all “Gattis or Tvd sucks and is a bad leader“. But I get it , let’s rip him some more. That solves a lot in July.
