Thank you Manny for proving to the sympathizers that it really was all about you. The irony is that you hurt yourself so much more with that post than you gained in the instant gratification of blaming the victim. What P5 AD wants to deal with a whiny *****?

******* bum, good riddance you clown

EDIt: He goes out the same way his three years were, with a bunch of excuses

While some try to go out the bigger person, Manny fired a few shots. The first paragraph i understand to a point. He could have simply said he was disappointed with the decision and direction but he went at the administration bc of how it played out in public. Honestly, i get it.....less for him and more about the assistants, support staff, etc who have families and aren't sure where their next stop is. UM could have simply fired Manny a few weeks ago like EVERY other school and waited during their "search". They chose not to and it was a bad look. Keeping him served no purpose. If Mario said no, go find someone else. Dragging it out made it look like a clown show. Manny could have allowed UM to be the only one to look bad but he let his emotions write the farewell and opened himself up for criticism as well.

The part i don't agree with in Manny's farewell is the BS about giving young guys opportunity and setting this team up for a breakout 2022. He's trying to take credit for any success Mario might have, when it fact fans had been screaming for more snaps for young kids for months and it took injuries, poor tackling being mocked on social media and internal turmoil before he became willing to do so. There's one thing about giving kids time to learn, making them earn it and ensuring they are ready.......there's another for flat out continuing to play lesser talented guys bc of seniority, loyalty, promises, fear of kids transferring, etc. There's a balance to it that Manny never seemed to be successful with. Every year, there was something past code and stinking inside that locker room.

Went on making excuses while also trying to set up credit for any 2022 success.
This. I don't know how reading that and coming away you feel sorry for the guy.

He's an excuse maker. He blasted the university for how it handled his firing and tried to gain sob points, then this ****** brings up injuries. Like no other team in the history of football deals with injuries.

Gave their all is correct…..that’s why some players had to go outside the program to get mri’s and X-rays. Playing injured sometimes weeks and being told “ you’re ok”. Then if you sit out games you destroy them to scouts / nfl personnel. Other kids playing with multiple serious injuries then finally getting tests with the results being serious injuries. Players having 3-4 concussions with no concussion protocol, going back in the games. When it was obvious they were loopy.

Hopefully Mario cleans the people out who co-signed this ****ery.

the powers that be know this right? if not it needs to be on Mario's desk by first thing tomorrow morning

no f given.webp

Vinny Scavo always looked like he'd be better suited laying tile or making hoagies than being around anything medical related. This (and a few other stories I've personally heard) confirms it.
God forbid you insinuate anything bad about our medical staff and a bunch of questionable career ending injuries.

SMDH. What a bytch. You tried and failed now own it, shut your **** mouth, take the high road and take your lumps.

Manny is fully entitled to his feelings. I'd never fault him for that. But to publicly air your feelings like a teenage girl cut from the cheerleading squad???

Tells you all you need to know about the guy and why our teams have underperformed the way they have under his tenure. All empathy for the guy is out the window now.

Bye, Manny. Get all the way the fvck out of here.

And someone should teach him that the “were” he is using in his message should be we’re. Thanks Manny. So long. Good luck at FIU or wherever you end up. I had high hopes and you managed to underperform every step of the way while doubling down on your bets. If you truly could not see this coming earlier on this year, you truly are naive. But we no longer suffer from foolish decisions amongst our administration. I am hoping that the ship has been righted and that we work hard to pick up in the areas of incompetency that you led.
Think you're being a bit insensitive. Manny got his education from FSU after all.
