Tears Manny crying on twitter

People defending this ask the players or their families how they feel about….better yet imagine it’s your kid. This has been a problem at Miami for a minute.
I don’t want to make too many leaps but

This explains a lot

I have constantly wondered watching some of these guys regress are they just playing hurt? And then it seems like a year or two later it comes out they were but by then it’s kind of an afterthought

I had three incredible years as head coach of the University of Miami Hurricanes football team. During that time, I had the pleasure of coaching some incredible young men, and we shared some great moments together. While I did not meet the expectations I set for myself and for the Hurricanes' football program, I am thoroughly proud of all we accomplished together and will cherish those memories forever.

I want to thank the University of Miami for giving me the opportunity to lead their football program, and I wish the U family nothing but the best.

I typed that in under 60 seconds. It ain't that hard.
This.

Cribby said it all in this thread. He was not a well liked coach. Players see through the bull**** even faster than fans.

I feel no sympathy for Manny.

He could of hired a real staff his first year, he chose to hire friends and really didn't seem to take anything serious, from a fans perspective, until his seat got very hot. He was offered opportunities for help (ZO), and decided to play games (ER20). And lastly, he could of hired an actual DC, so he could focus on being a HC (something he still hasn't exactly mastered), and instead, he 'bet on himself'. He played favorites with players, and misrepresented a tradition with silly chains and rings. Ultimately, he was treated with the same level of respect that he showed for the position of Head Coach at the University of Miami. He played games, and UM played them back towards the end of his time here.

He is not the victim... Manny was apart of the virus. Kids he fought for, did not respect him. Hes not a HC anywhere. I honestly don't even like him as a DC. I will forever be suspicious of a coach who has never actually played the game at a meaningful level.
Your last sentence is what I and many others who also played the game have been screaming at the top of our lungs about that phony from day one. Yet the slurpers would always bring up Bill Belichick until I also had to school them for the thousandth time that Bill played ******* college football unlike manure. Smh

Cristobal had a double-digit injury list of players while in playoff contention not playing. Manny would have thrown those kids out there to save his behind.

Agree. Losing one's job, no matter the circumstances or the $ payout amount is very unsettling. Shame Coach Diaz did not get 5 years as Coach Davis did from 2000-2005 or the money now available to Coach Cristobal. This entire saga was handled inappropriately. I too, wish him well and hope for the best.
I'd be very unsettled if I lost my current job and someone paid me $8m.

By unsettled I mean I'd be selling his house and retiring young.

That @Echtcane is king slurper, even out doing good ole @Go Canes!! in that department and that’s tough to do! Lol Etch never misses an opportunity to downvote any Manure criticism, making me think he’s manure himself. 🤢🤮 dudes been downvoting me for years on here even though all I spit was facts and the truth. Truth hurts doesn’t it @Echtcane, oops I mean manure? Lmao

Aye, @Go Canes!! is cool. Sometimes he can be a lil overboard with the support, but he had his moments.

He secretly wanted Manny gone since the FIU debacle.

Now etcher sketch.... 😂😂😂

wow wow wow.

Beat UNC
BeAt UVA
Beat FSU

and we arent living in this timeline. Call Doc Brown buddy

GTF out of here
If the freshman doesn't miss the FG against UVA and Manny doesn't totally have a 4 minute brain cramp at FSU he might still be coaching here, so thank you Manny for making the decision easier for our BOT. I will never forget the idiocy of the last 4 minutes against FSU as my lasting memory of Manny Diaz. His problem is he didn't play the young kids and now he says he did, how many dropped balls from Wiggins and Pope did we not have to witness? How many missed tackles like the MSU game with Gurvan Hall? Your players executing correctly is your job, if they don't it is on you, that is the measuring stick. If you can't drive improved performance then you are not a good coach, unless you were teaching them to miss tackles and drop balls, which in that case your achieved your goals.
