Nelson was overrated; he has tools, but he needs time to develop. Hoping the young man pulls a Moore, & go somewhere where he can sit behind a vet and learn vs. trying to be QB1 b4 being ready.

I agree! I also think that the recruiting process is quite expensive that the best athletes aren’t always the ones getting evaluated, it’s whoever can hit the circuits the earliest and most frequent. That’s why we continue to see athletes like Cam Ward starting out at Incarnate Word when they are p4 talents coming out of high school.OL and Qb’s are so hard to evaluate from Hs. Rankings don’t matter at those two positions.

Because everyone looks good in HS. You can’t see intangibles on film and intangibles are a big part of the position.QB identification and evaluation is so hard. Everyone gets it wrong. How do you know what you’ve got until the bullets are flying?
